Due to my past musings over the Phoenix Wright/FF7 stuff probably not being compliant with the main timeline, and a review gotten today on what was supposed to have been a multi-chapter PW fic, a new possibility took hold. Gah.

Dalton said in an RP testing of this scenario that it would have been ridiculous for Azazel to shoot Miles, because that would certainly make them look guilty, considering that Miles had been going to investigate Fragmented Triangle. And if they'd left things alone, Miles would have not found anything incriminating because Fragmented Triangle was a legal company. All of which is really true; Dalton-tachi still has their grudge against Seph-tachi, and they do dirty things to them, but the company itself is perfectly legal. They're careful to keep it as such.

So ... an idea formed for an Azazel from another world to have shot Miles in order to frame the Azazel from this world. Or maybe it was Gunju 2, angry at all Azazels again.

What should I be more frightened by, that we're doing this twistedness in the RP, or that I'm actually considering it as a possible solution to get Something Wicked This Way Comes off the ground again?

Are alternate dimensions too weird for PW? LOL.

**nod nod** And based on how they're acting in "Diamond Rose Glass," trying to stop the smuggling and all, it is safe to assume that Fragmented Triangle isn't criminal like, say... the dance troupe in "Traum".

I think your PW fics would work great in the main timeline, but it'd also work in its own timeline. I always try to have all of my fics in one timeline, even the Pokémon fics are in my one timeline... you just can't tell because they don't interact with the characters in my other fandoms/fics... though now I've been plunnied to do a crossover with the Pokémon fics, too. **headdesk**

Ah, yes... alter-Azazel... that could work, or was it zombie Gunju??

**nods.** The main reason why they want to stop the smuggling is because they don't want to be implicated themselves and they don't want people doing this stuff right under their noses. XD Especially when the smugglers are proving that they're just using Dalton-tachi while it's convenient and they wouldn't hesitate to kill Dalton and Azazel when they don't need them any longer.

Yeah, I think that even if I do this, the PW/FF7 stuff will still be its own timeline. XD; I dunno ... I just don't see it really working in the main timeline. And if I introduce the alternates, I'm not sure I want them to be part of the main timeline, either. Too messy, but in a whole other sort of way. LOL.

XD If it was Gunju 2, it was probably he himself and not Gunju 1's reanimated corpse. LOL. Because I'm pretty sure Miles would notice if a zombie tried to kill him. **snerk.**

Not really, no. XD If it's done right, anyway. Hell...maybe there's some channeling technique that involves tapping into an alternate universe and someone screws up and that's how this whole thing gets started. You could have a whole clan that rivals the Feys...

Of course, this does render Blessed is the Blind as non-canon ... unless we find that the Dalton Genesis spoke to in it was a Dalton from another dimension/an illusion created by Gunju 2....

Hmm.... Why was Miles investigating Framgented Triangle in the first place?

Maybe it was another Azazel coming after Gunju 2? And maybe he wanted to use the other Azazel as bait or something, so he framed him? Or maybe he thought the other Azazel would be better off arrested so he would be out of the way? XD **though has no idea if any of those would work. XD;**

Alternate dimensions are the answer for everything! LOL.

LOL. Though I'm not sure I want alternate dimensions to be part of the main timeline, either. XD But at least it would resolve this canon discrepancy.

Well, when I went back and read the fic, he was investigating because Seph had found Fragmented Triangle spies at Jenova Corp. XD; But if Dalton had wanted to, he could have gotten out of it by saying he knew nothing about it. It would be his word against his employees', and well, Dalton would probably win.

LOL. Maybe! Azazel 2 doesn't have anything against Gunju 2, even though Gunju 2 hates him. Gunju 2 blames Azazel 2 for his death, and Azazel 2 blames Dalton 2 for Gunju 2's death. **So needs to figure out how the heck Gunju 2 died.**

XD Hmmm.... Maybe it's not really Azazel or Gunju at all.... But someone with some illusion thing to make him look like one of them! Like the thing that Kurt has in X-men: Evolution. XD

Wow. That's almost like one of those love triangle things! ....Only the complete opposite. XD; It's a fragmented triangle! XD Hmmm.... Maybe he was set up during some job he was on, and it was made to look like Azazel set him up?

Yeah, that's true. XD But his hologram doesn't act on its own. If someone stole Kaiba Corp technology and manipulated it, maybe they'd get some walking holograms. XD;

And not just that, but getting Azazel 2 and Gunju 2 to believe him.

... LOL, walking holograms would also mean that the Dalton Genesis spoke to in Blessed is the Blind was a hologram. Maybe Dalton and the Rakeshes were secretly out of the country and that's how this was able to happen. Then they come back and find all the disaster with Miles having been shot.

Good question! Now I'm getting the odd image of it being Koseki who made the walking holograms. Though I don't know why he would, unless it was to further the deal between him and Azazel 2.

I'm not sure, either. LOL. Unless he wants to see if Sephiroth figures out what the heck is going on and realizes that it wasn't the real Azazel who shot Miles.

XD Yeah, it would be some kind of experiment to test Seph's deductive reasoning. XD

Hmmm.... Hey, what if it was someone who knew Dalton from Gaia, but had carried a grudge against him for something? ....Like what if it was a SOLDIER who'd been the victim of something Dalton did, or who'd known someone who'd been a victim? And maybe he'd get ahold of some kind of hologram technology to frame Azazel and Fragmented Triangle, but that would only be the first step?
