More plunnies!

Looking over the
30_hugs themes is so much squee! The first half are mostly the lighter ones, I think, while the second half are more angsty. I've got several squeeable and fun ideas for Seph and Zack ficlits now. X3 (As well as an angsty one taking place right after Meteor, where the people are relieved that Seph is dead. And Zack is watching from the afterlife, glad that they're safe but feeling like crying because of Seph's fate, especially since he still isn't free of his insanity. ;__; It was inspired by Lisa's comments and the song No One Mourns the Wicked.)
And Lisa discovered this as a Seph and Zack song, from Zack's POV following Seph's descent into madness. ;__; Oh man, it's so sad relating it to them, but it definitely works. http://www.lyricsmania.com/lyrics/relient_k_lyrics_3403/apathetic_lyrics_16741/which_to_bury_us_or_the_hatchet_lyrics_193608.html
I also instantly thought of it as a song for Azazel and Gunju clashing. XD; Perhaps partially because I was being hit with a plunnie for an OC-centric fic right then: of Gunju at a bar and starting a brawl and Azazel having to come bail him out of jail. They end up having a huge argument. Then I imagined lots of angst: that it's the last straw for Azazel in dealing with his wild brother and that's when he sends Gunju off to Dalton. And all of that is a flashback and the present time is right after Gunju's death and Azazel is sitting alone in his office at Broken Circle, thinking about all of this. It's before the events of Another Simple Mission, and hence, Gunju hasn't yet returned to Azazel in spirit form. So for all Azazel knows, he won't ever see his brother again. And he's blaming himself a lot for what happened because of having sent Gunju to Dismal.

could also be for Yugi and Joey during the anchor battle fiasco in Battle City, too; at least, that was what came into my mind as I was reading.I like the thought of the Rakesh fic, too. Poor Azazel... ;__;

Azazel really turned into a complex character. When I first created him for Another Simple Mission, I wasn't quite sure what to do with him. XD; I think I only really started developing his character when I wrote the snow fic with him and Gunju.

Ooh, yes! Yay for OCs becoming more and more complex! That's happening now for Vulsor and Mystica with the story I'm writing about them!

I was thinking it was becoming harder to rationalize some of Azazel's behavior in Another Simple Mission, especially when he tells Seph and Zack that he's proud of his own "calculating" sadism and that he's more wise with it than his brother. But then the answer dawned: of course, he's absolutely guilt-stricken because of Gunju's death and is reacting by coming close to the edge of sanity. Azazel snaps when he's had enough. The whole snow affair probably brought him back to his senses.

Date: 2008-09-14 08:36 pm (UTC)I really like how this develops Azazel's character even more, though, and really shows why he acts the way he does! I wonder if Gunju ever realizes the extent of Azazel's guilt?
And that song is just so perfect, but so saaad. ;__;

Date: 2008-09-15 07:47 am (UTC)I'm not sure. I think Gunju realizes more things than he often lets on, so maybe he does know about it, or at least, maybe he realizes more than Azazel does himself.

Date: 2008-09-15 03:24 am (UTC)This one definitely makes me think of Loneliness. >3
Though I'd like to find a song of theirs for this that's on one of their earlier albums. That third one is pretty meh, IMO.But it's funny, because Which to Bury and Come Back Down both came up as songs for Amelda and Valon wayyyy back when. That's why I remembered that Lifehouse one in the first place. XD
ALSO WRITE THAT RAKESH FIC. LIKE RIGHT NOW. XD It sounds really good!

LOL. Yeah, I can see how those songs would fit Alister and Valon, too. **remembers Which to Bury from before, but isn't sure she remembers this one.** Hey, I don't think I've ever checked YouTube for songs about those two specifically. I must correct that. **has found Alister tributes and general biker tributes.**
Buwahaha! I hope to! It's a plunnie that has been bugging me all weekend. So it had better cooperate and get written.
