I forgot one of the upcoming stories, so I edited the previous post with its working summary. Lizzie will probably be very interested.

And so it's Easter weekend. I always get melancholy this time of year. I thought it would start on March 31st, but it waited until now instead. It was Easter in 2002, the last day of March, when JP first came to visit. X3 He subsequently came two following Springs, and while I think in some ways the third time flopped, the first two times were amazingly awesome. (And of course, the third time had some good moments too.) Dang, I miss those times. Sometimes I miss how carefree I was then, too. Not much knowledge yet of how real life and other things can interrupt indefinitely.

I suppose now is as good a time as any to confess: I've read Twilight. Just the first book (and the preview chapter of New Moon in the back), but yeah. I've always wanted to read it, in spite of everything I've heard. I think even it deserves a fair chance. But I wasn't sure when I'd get around to it. Then I was given it as a belated Christmas gift, which made me happy because then I wouldn't have to spend money on it without knowing what it was like. It was about a month and a half ago when it came into my possession. I finished sometime early in March.

The verdict? Well, of course I rolled my eyes at all the lovey-dovey scenes. So sickeningly sweet and downright cheesy. And Bella annoyed me a lot at those times and some others. I didn't like how the author tried to make her some super-smart kid who's already read all the English materials and knows the advanced science stuff, etc. And how she feels she doesn't fit in with the other kids her age. I think the way it was executed fell flat and made her look Mary Sueish.

But ... the overall plot wasn't too bad. In fact, I like it alright. And I like some of the characters. Remember Winx Club as my guilty pleasure? Well, this is also one. Even more of one than Winx, though. And darnit, I want to see what happens next. -.-

AHAHA WINX CLUB, SERIOUSLY? *raises hand* Yeah, yeah, what can I say... I have a love of transformation scenes like whoa. *dies* Although Bloom annoys me. Flora is my fav.

XD Bloom usually didn't annoy me too much, but she did when she got self-righteous. I like Flora, too. ♥ Though the whole thing with her and Helia was a major headdesk moment. So poorly written!

I dunno, it just bugs me when like... they're supposed to be a team but there's one leader and she's always more powerful than the others and so special and blah blah blah. And so much emphasis is put on that one person. For some reason, it doesn't bug me quite so much in Sailor Moon (maybe because Serena doesn't seem like a complete Mary Sue to me, why, I don't know *dies*), but yeah... In anything and any anime. If they have at least one person to balance them out then it's cool but "You're the most strongest fairy in Alfea!" ........ Right, okay.

But yeah. *dies* I don't know much about the Flora and Helia thingy. I just know who people pair up with and the general plot line. I watch it for the music? 8D I like the music *dies*

For some reason, what bugged me more was when the whole group of them were supposed to be more powerful than all the other fairies and even the teachers. .___. Just ... no. That was ridiculous!

XD The music is fun!

Ye.... ah, exactly. I love how the main love interest is named 'Sky' too. *dies* Out of all the guys, I liked Timmy the best because he seemed the most... I dunno. More like everyone else. *dies* Except for his mad technological skillz. Hahahaha. But personality wise, I mean.

Ooh... **will have to look at the revised list** X3

Aww... **hugs** ;__;

I still haven't broken down and read it yet... I guess because I'm thinking that if you've heard one vampire love story, you've heard them all... **pokes von Krolock** XD

Bleah at the Mary Sueish characters.

...And now I'll probably have to read the thing. XD

X3

;___; **hugs back.**

XD Yeah, I imagine there's some elements the same or similar in every vampire-in-love-with-a-mortal story.

LOL.

I get kind of wistful in the springtime, myself, just because that was always such a fun time when I was younger. And sometimes it makes me sad to think that things won't ever be the same as they were back then.

:) I still haven't read Twilight, although my sister went to see it at the theater, haha. My mom actually read it, though, and she loved it at first, but then started to find it repetitive as she read it to the end.

**nods.** Totally! It's always so bittersweet to realize that you can never recapture those exact special times again.

LOL. I'm not sure I'd call it repetitive, though Bella's ridiculous cheesy behavior (her heart literally stopping when Edward kisses her, etc.) really grated on my nerves. XD; And Stephenie Meyer did go back to that kissing angle far too much.

Ooh, confessions! Great! Wow. I'm glad you found Twilight to be at least okay. Glad you gave it a chance. Should read New Moon. The series gets a little more serious between Eclipse and Breaking Dawn.

I probably will at some point, but I don't know when. I haven't taken out library books for years (no time), and there's other things I want to buy.

I am most highly dreading Bella's behavior in that book, but I'm glad Alice scolds her. And I am interested to see Jacob's role. (Especially when I'll be writing a completely unrelated story involving the Quileutes....)

**will go check out the list later!**

Yeah, I miss being carefree too. XD I hated having to do homework back in high school, but I always loved being done with it and not having to worry about anything else at all. And now.... I like being able to do so much more, but I still miss those times. They were so much simpler. XD

....Who's JP, by they way? Should I know this already? **tries to remember.**

LOL, I was totally wondering when you'd read that so I could ask you about it. XD At Sakuracon, I went to the panel, "When Bad Fics Attack," and they kept mentioning Twilight whenever Mary Sues were brought up. So I've been wondering if Bella really was that much of a Mary Sue. XD But considering how she's super-smart, and everything just randomly seemed to happen to her with out her ever influencing anything, she really does seem like a Mary Sue. XD; ....But I'm still curious enough to read it. And I rather liked.... Jacob, I think his name was? The Indian guy. XD

XD Yeah, simpler times were fun. Though on the other hand, I really don't want to go back to how naive I was then. Sadder but wiser, I guess.

JP is my first really close online friend. ^^ Met him in 2000.

I would say Bella totally has Mary Sue traits. -.-;

Jacob is cool! ^^ And he plays a much bigger role in the later books.

**nods.** Yeah, me neither. I like where I am now, and back then there was so much I didn't know about! Though the cartoons were so much more awesome! >3

Ohhh. That's awesome! ^^ So he came to visit you in person?

Awesome! I totally wanna see more of Jacob. >3

Yep, three times, as I mentioned. ^^

Oh, Twilight... XD

Yeah, I really don't find Bella appealing at all. Or Edward, for that matter, BECAUSE HE IS A GIANT CREEPER. I have to say, I really like all the other Cullens, though. Especially Carlisle, because Dr. Vampire? Now that's just cool.

And I know what you mean about the overall plot. Like, everything from the baseball part on is...well, pretty exciting. Now, there's the matter of why the rest of the book moved at such a snail's pace... -_-

Haha, I rented New Moon from the library back over winter break, and I ended up running out of time and not finishing it before I went back to school - because it doesn't even get remotely interesting until about page 400 or so. Prior to that it's just Bella being so stupid I want to scream. XD;

Yes, Dr. Vampire = awesome. X3

I actually didn't mind the slow pace; I liked all the setup. What I mainly had a problem with were the cheesy lovey-dovey bits and Bella in general. XD

**nodnod.** I want to read New Moon mainly for Jacob. I can hardly believe Bella's idiocy!
