Fic stuff

Finally, that Sonic X fic is done! Now if I could finish the Fang one.... I'm having issues with it now because I wonder how I can bear to keep Mighty dead. XD; But bringing him back would disrupt the entire point of the story, explaining why he has vanished altogether and isn't spoken of! **headdesk.**

I have various ideas for this unofficial season 4 bouncing around in my head. I doubt any of them will get written, except maybe as blurbs, but they include the following:

- Shadow encounters a group that insists he can't have a real soul because he was artificially created. He then tries to figure out what it would really mean to have a soul and whether they're right.

- Shadow meets Chris's friend Helen and begins to bond with her.

- Somewhere along the way, as Shadow grows more and more accustomed to Earth life, he begins regaining more of his memories.

- Shadow also meets with the President, who is grateful to him for his past help and offers him a job with the government. He probably takes it.

- Chris works on figuring out how to safely merge their world and Sonic's world, while Shadow at first refuses to help him but then reluctantly offers some assistance on the project.

- A new evil begins to rise on their world (possibly the Black Arms, but maybe not, since the Metarex resemble them. XD;)

- The worlds become connected and Sonic and the others cross back to Earth, able to pass back and forth whenever they want. Eggman is fascinated, having been trying to discover the secrets of their worlds as well.

- Fang probably returns at some point. (But only if I can finish this other fic first!)

- As the evil grows stronger, everyone must band together to try to defeat it. But some give their lives in the process. After the final battle, Chris finds Shadow among the dead. Though he and even his grandfather Chuck try to revive him, they cannot. It seems that the Ultimate Lifeform can die after all. And I can't help it, I keep envisioning them finally bringing him back by using the power of the Chaos Emeralds and their---and his---own wills, like with Sonic in Sonic 2006.... **headdesk.**

Yay fic ideas and Shadow getting accustomed to Earth life and helping Chris! And Sonic coming and going as he pleases!

I honestly don't think any of this stuff will get written as full fics, but there will definitely be a blurb or two.

I still wanna adapt that horribly creepy dream about the corner house and zombies into a fic for the guys.... But I wanna finish A Change in My Life first.

Hmmm.... Maybe Mighty ends up going to one of the other worlds? XD And everyone else could either think he's dead or know that he's left, and maybe just never had a reason to bring it up in the stories. XD

I'd considered him having a falling-out with the others and leaving, but see, I've already posted two chapters where he is definitely dead. ;___; And I don't want to change it. The whole foundation of the Chaotix's role in the story is how Mighty's death tore them apart and how they have to heal and not allow themselves to all drift apart from each other. Having him alive, whatever the explanation, really disrupts what I'm trying to do. So it's really frustrating to me that I keep having these moments of wanting to somehow bring him back. XD; It just can't be.

X3 I forgot one, of course---where Shadow worries more and more that he is a living weapon and should be destroyed, because he's so afraid that he will turn against everyone someday and destroy them. ;___; That is another important element to the season.

Shadow's technically not supposed to die at all, so I'd be hesitant to actually post something like that. XD; But I can't help it, I want to write a death scene myself after the show gave us two very poignant moments where he seemed to die. ;___;

**nods.** And there's no way for the others to still believe that he's dead, but have him actually be alive? ....Though that would still be really sad, too.... ;___;

**nods.** The first was in the Sonic Adventure 2 adaption, in episode 38. The second is at the very end of the series, exactly 50 episodes later, when Shadow punches Sonic to get him away so that Shadow can use Chaos Control and stop time to save everyone. Neither scene had a body, though, because Shadow survived both times. And after watching the Final Story of Sonic 2006, well ... I can't help wanting to tinker with that and have one final death scene, where there is a body. XD;

I --kinda-- have an idea for the resurrection thing! I'm gonna gank borrow an idea from an awesome writer to explain.

Okay. So, when you die, whatever deity is in charge of your world decides whether you get to go to Heaven or Hell. But Shadow was artificially created, so who has authority over where HIS soul goes? His creator with the most power? That would be Black Doom, but he's obviously not around XD;

So, since the Earth deity doesn't have the authority to send Shadow to an afterlife, Shadow has two options:

1. Hang out in Purgatory for eternity
2. Come back to life, which will give the deity the authority to send him to the afterlife the next time he dies.

Again, unoriginal, but hopefully you'll get some ideas!

Though I am curious, how would him choosing to come back to life give the deity authority over where he goes the next time? He'd still be an artificial creation....

If I remember correctly, Shadow needs the deity's "consent to life" because, well, it's still the deity's world. If the deity decides to let Shadow choose to be resurrected, I guess that would put Shadow's soul under his jurisdiction.
