Anyone have name suggestions? Even if he has a name in the Japanese, he doesn't in the dub. I had been thinking of Travis, but I dunno if I wanna do that because I knew a Travis and it would just feel weird.

And it's come to my attention that some people believed (hopefully they don't still believe) that Shadow committed suicide at the end of Sonic Adventure 2. .____. This is an immense shock to me. That isn't what happened at all! He used all of his energy to put the ARK back into orbit and then he fell. He saved the world, but he couldn't save himself. Extremely poignant and powerful. I wonder if the reason some believed it was suicide was because they thought Shadow's power couldn't be drained that much? Especially if Sonic survived. Well, I think Sonic X came up with the perfect explanation---the removal of the inhibitor rings gives Shadow greater power, but it seriously drains him. The games even officially adopted that after Sonic X used it.

And as I told JP a couple weeks ago, I'm totally writing a oneshot for Halloween about the game Sonic Unleashed, where G.U.N. agent Shadow is given the assignment to find out what this mysterious were-creature is that's going about at night. LOL. At least, I'm writing it if I can work out some important plot details. But oh the crack! That whole game is on crack.

**nodnod.** I'd actually say the most pressing question is Why couldn't Sonic save him? But I'm guessing he was falling too fast/Sonic was drained too, but just didn't fall/the Super powers were wearing off for Sonic, too.

I totally don't like the idea of werehog Sonic. XD But both Knuckles and Shadow were supposed to be in that game and then were scrapped. They would have made it so much better! Hence, the inspiration for the oneshot. X3

The second and third seasons are soooo much better than the first, even though there were some good first season episodes too. But the dub really mashed the third season. XD; **prefers the dub of seasons 1 and 2, but usually watches 3 in Japanese.**

Not sure what the difference is between the Fleetway and Archie comics...

I did not like Sonic Underground 8D;;;; The voices AND the plot. *dies* Although the theme song is damn catchy...

Adventures I only liked a few episodes haha. Tails' voice in the movie kind of annoyed me... *dies* Too scratchy.

A lot. LOL. Fleetway is a completely different series, released in the U.K.

I should have really said, Here is the order I like the Sonic verses, from favorite to least favorite. XD; I do not like SU either. The only thing that got me to watch any of it was Knuckles. **hugs him.**

I still love the Adventures theme. Brings back so many happy memories. XD; And I always liked Coconuts. But the show itself = blech!

Huh. I don't see how anyone could think he committed suicide! I mean, maybe he knew that he'd probably end up sacrificing himself because it would drain so much of his power, but that's *completely* different from suicide. XD

The only way I could see them getting that is because it doesn't show *how* he fell, it just shows him falling. o.o But the official explanation has always been that he fell, not that he jumped.

Totally nuts. XD Werehog Sonic is interesting, though. Apparently he keeps hold of his intelligence and sense of justice? So he won't go mindlessly destroying stuff and killing good people. And he can talk.

Let's see.... He busted the world open and unleashed a freaky god of chaos type thing. XD; And it started affecting almost everyone in the world negatively. I think for most of them, it brought out negative feelings/personality traits? And Sonic was right at the site of the world busting open, and I think him being so close is what caused him to develop lycanthropy.

The name "Travis" immediately makes me think of Travis of the Cosmos, and as such I can never take it seriously. XD You could always check some baby-name websites, though. I did that just recently looking for a plausible name for an Atlantean version of Mai.

I know very little about Sonic and most of what I know I've gleaned from your journal, but is it possible that by "suicide" they meant "did such and such knowing it would leave him drained and falling," feeling like he had to die to make up for doing something earlier in the story? It sort of sounds like that, by the way you described it here...
