It occurred to me that if I replaced Yami Marik with a non-supernatural psychopath, and made the monsters into hallucinations or visions of hypnotized minds, I could ground the Alan and Philip recovery blurb better into reality. It's still really too dark for the show, though. I think if I tried to write the thing as a full fic I'd end up uncomfortable with it eventually. Especially since I've already gone through periods of being uncomfortable with the blurb.
And who would read it anyway? The online fanbase is small, and why would they be interested in a fic featuring some very minor characters in the main roles and the girls only having supporting roles? Of course, on the other hand, maybe they'd be happy for anything, since there aren't any fic writers other than me (I don't think). All the characters are canon, at least.
I may write at least a couple of other blurbs. Alfred is taking what happened to his cousins very hard. He's angry and upset and disturbed and goes on long walks to try to clear his mind. George is worried that the entire family is going to fall apart over this and he's trying to be the voice of reason among them. Cathy is, I think, his confidante and supporter. Patty, being closer to Alfred, probably tries to talk to him.
One thing about the fic/blurbs is that they would help me all the more to firmly establish all the boys' differing personalities.
I think I've finished the first draft of my first Autor and Ahiru fic for my
12_stories claim. Hopefully I'll get it up within a short time. I actually had more than one idea for how the fic could go, but when I sat down with it one version seemed to take precedence and want to be written. Part of me still wants to write the other main idea for it, even if just privately for me. Yet on the other hand I'd rather not.

Don't worry about it. You've been busy and there's no rush about the KH fic or any other! I always appreciate your reviews, but I certainly don't expect you to read and review things for a fandom like Tutu that you're not into, so there's no need to feel worried or bad or pressured about not getting it done. **hugs.**

Date: 2011-01-08 05:23 am (UTC)Fandoms with no fanbase make me sad! There's no one to talk to, or read your stuff, and there's no chance for the minor characters.
Moar Autor and Ahiru is always better. LOL. Good thing you didn't sit there and go "Hmm, which idea do I want to use?" for waaay too long, though. LOL.

Date: 2011-01-08 05:45 am (UTC)Yes, it's lonely! There must be a lot of fans of the show out there, since it's still on TV and the DVD sets were just barely released, but on the Internet it's hard to find the fans. I have at least two readers, one in the small Yahoo Group and one who found my fic on FF.net, so I'm hoping to find some more vocal readers too. I might have some others who aren't saying anything; who knows.
LOL. I did debate it for a while before I determined to just start it and see what would happen.
