What happened to Uzura?
She returned from Drosselmeyer's realm to be in Think Back on Yesterday. The implication was that she was going to stay in Kinkan for good.
Clearly she must have decided not to, and/or was simply taken back by Drosselmeyer or the realm itself.
I'll admit, I myself am not sure what happened. I had intended to have her around all the time, but it didn't work out that way. She just didn't fit into the stories and would have been an unnecessary addition.
I think I first realized she genuinely wasn't there (as opposed to just not being shown) when I did the Phantom Hitchhiker series. If she had been there, she would have been involved with that, especially since she's quite fond of Autor in my verse. But since I haven't been sure what happened to her, I haven't had the characters so much as mention her, save for Autor pondering in Fuer Dich, and there the mention of her is ambiguous and could or could not mean she's still in Kinkan. And with the traveling in the current thriller fic, it's more obvious than ever that she just isn't there.
It's a puzzle. Although now I feel like writing a heartbreaking drabble/blurb that ties into the Phantom Hitchhiker saga with Ahiru trying to explain to Uzura that Autor has gone to Heaven after the carriage accident. If I do, I'll probably write it for one of the
30_deathfics themes.
I'm into chapter 15 of the thriller fic now. Kirsch has been brought in as an important character to the plot, as I determined necessary. I'm not sure how much help he'll be, though, as apparently he's municipal police and they don't seem to be able to do much with big, serious cases in Germany.... I'm also not even sure municipal police would have a "Detective" ranking. I might need to go back and change all mentions of his rank. But in any case, I feel better having a police contact of any kind involved with things.
Judging from the pace of this chapter, I wonder if this fic will go over 20 chapters. That would be pretty cool. At the current point, the fic stands at 63,091 words and 132 pages in Microsoft Word. Lead Me Through the Fire was 90,000+ words and 178 pages in Word (232 in WordPerfect, once the page numbering and formatting was in place). I'm thinking this fic will probably very easily exceed that page count limit and possibly the word count limit. I will need a big binder and many sheet protectors when I endeavor to print it after completion.

Date: 2011-01-19 03:06 am (UTC)So she's really not there. I do wonder where she went.
Aw, that blurb idea sounds really sad...
Writing fics in other countries causes unforeseen complications. LOL. But yes, more help is always better.
I was thinking that too-- if 11 doesn't get to the first robbery yet, then it sounds like it's going to take a while. LOL. That's a lot of fic! Yes, you're going to need a looot of paper, too. LOLOLOL.

Date: 2011-01-19 03:52 am (UTC)Yeah. There just doesn't really seem to be a place for Uzura. The others can carry the stories just fine without her. I don't like to say it, but I kind of think Uzura would be in the way more than anything else.
I think she must be with Drosselmeyer. There's not much else that works as an explanation.
It really will be! I think I'll use it to try to explain where she's been, too. Maybe she spends most time with Drosselmeyer and just comes to Kinkan to visit.
LOL. That's for sure.
Yeah, the first robbery is chapter 13. I'm just ending 15 and I'm not sure whether the second robbery will make it into 16 or if it will be 17.
At least I have double-sided printing. LOL. If I only used one side of the paper, that would be even worse.

Date: 2011-01-20 04:38 am (UTC)That would make the most sense, yeah. Maybe the Bookmen sent her back XD;
Oh, visiting! X3 LOL at being able to do it at will. If you do write/post it, I wanna see it.
Oh wow. LOL. Yes, save the trees! XD XD

Date: 2011-01-20 04:47 am (UTC)LOL. Probably more likely, she goes back and forth at will. Or maybe she can only do that sometimes and then she has to wait a while before the portals open and she can come back through.
I probably will, but I'm not sure when. I'm so hyped about the thriller fic. I'm in chapter 16 now. The second robbery will probably be in 17. And I'm kind of toying with Fakir being badly beaten after that one because of them being suspicious that he got the police notified somehow. They might strike him with something hard and then he won't wake up for a few days. And meanwhile, Ahiru and company are distraught because the trail's gone cold and they're wondering what happened.
LOL. Yes, trees are wonderful things!

Date: 2011-01-20 04:59 am (UTC)XD Meanwhile she hangs out with Drosselmeyer. Wonder what it'd be like, being in his company so long. LOL.
Holy zow! It's fun when you get super excited over a fic, it just comes out like "Hope you weren't getting used to having spare time" XD But FFFFF, Fakir getting beaten would suck D: Evil crooks! And dramatic irony is fun to play with, isn't it? Poor everyone...
Indeed they are ^.^

Date: 2011-01-20 05:09 am (UTC)I'm guessing that she would drive him crazy to the point that he would rejoice when she decided to visit Kinkan.
Yes, I love this fic so much! But poor Fakir. He already was beaten after the first robbery, albeit not as seriously as this would be.
