People are noticing Tragg shooting down the assassin in the climax of my fic. Of course, that would be impossible not to notice; it was awesome. I love when Tragg shoots the criminal going after Perry in The Moth-Eaten Mink, and that was partial inspiration for the scene in the fic.

But I don't understand why they don't seem to recognize that Tragg was not the only one to rescue Mr. Burger. Perry tackled him out of the way of a very immediate bullet. Tragg then shot the assassin before the creep could fire another.

Perry should be getting some recognition too.

I hate it when this happens XD; My most recent experience was fortunately not something like saving someone's life: freshman year, for the short story assignment, I wrote a story about a young man raising his young little sister (because you know I love my sibling cute) while at the same time having a job that sometimes keeps him late. Reading the story out loud:

1. Sister stays up late to see him: no reaction.
2. Sister plugs in his cell phone to charge when he falls asleep: "AAAAAAW..."

Mild, but wow. XD;

You hope the readers notice all the things you intended to be there for them, but sometimes they get... distracted. >__>

Oy vey. Yeah, it's discouraging when they don't notice details like that! I've unfortunately probably had times where I'm on the side that doesn't pay enough attention to some things. I still wonder how something like life-saving can sail over their heads, though.

Maybe for the same reason that the dubbers did that idiotic thing during Battle City where they had Tea thank Mokuba for getting her out of the chair but didn't thank Seto for saving her life.

People are odd and don't always react exactly to what you expect them to, I suppose. ^^;

But, it keeps things interesting and challenging, right?

Still, I love it when people do react exactly the way you wanted them too. It's like the best pat on the back for a job well done! ^_^

LOL. True.

Indeed! I have gotten some wonderful reviews on that story, and others. It's very gratifying.
