So I was randomly talking about Team Rocket about someone. And now I have an urge to go read a fanfic that really obsessive Team Rocket fan wrote to resolve the Wobbuffet Festival episode from season ... 4, I think it was. Problem is, I can't remember the person's name, only that it starts with a C. Searching for fansites doesn't bring up hers among them; I wonder if she disappeared and so did her site.

Anyone remember the name of that girl/know the URL of the site?

I never thought I'd actually be looking for her site again, haha. Her obsessiveness over the Rocketshipping pairing and her insistence on all the proof of its reality (Jessie and James hugging each other when frightened, using each other as pillows, etc.), only made me balk at the pairing idea all the more and made me want to imagine that they're doing all those things without actually being romantically involved with each other. The characters being so close in a platonic way that they even use each other as pillows somehow strikes me as so much more adorable and squeeable than if they were romantically connected while doing such.

Oh, wow, nostalgia.

I was never a Rocketshipper (so I can't help with that site--sorry about that), but I did think that Ash and Misty would make a cute couple when they grew up a bit more.

Jessie and James hugging each other when frightened, using each other as pillows, etc.

....Wow, what would they think of all the clinging that the Doctor and Jamie do, I wonder...?

I don't think I ever thought much on any other pairings for the show, although I believe I idly considered Misty and Brock ... if Brock would just stop getting infatuated with every girl that walks by.

LOL. Probably the same thing.

Their justification was that in Japan, it's generally only couples who would do things like that. I was thinking, though, that the people just had to be extremely close, not necessarily in a romantic relationship. Maybe I'm wrong. But I figured that it was just special closeness, either platonic or romantic, and that most people with their mindsets would simply decide that only people romantically interested would do that, rather than that actually being the case even in Japan.

Hmm, I might consider Brock and Misty in the game-verse. Ahh, that reminds me; I need to see the anime mini-series adaptation of the Kanto game--Brock's characterization in that is epic, from what I've heard. Pity Eric Stuart couldn't voice him this time. Bah. I'm still sore about that cast change...

LOL.

Huh. I'm not familiar with that; I would think there would be a platonic version, too...

Oooh. Epic characterization is awesome.

Yeah, I'm sure that there's definitely platonic relationships close enough for it, even if it's not as common in Japan.
