Hmm. Maybe Hulu still has I Spy after all; I'm not sure. I tried watching the one season 5 Once episode I was interested in (The Bear and the Bow) and discovered Hulu's search feature is broken, at least on certain searches. I had to do Advanced Search to find the episode.

It was great, ohmygosh. It was heartbreaking to see Rumpel so unnaturally afraid of everything, but he still loved Belle so much, and in the end he came back to himself and rushed to save Belle and had renewed confidence in himself and an epic exchange with Emma and it was just so great. I don't like at all that Emma is the villain in this arc, but I do rather love the idea of Rumpel as the hero. I just hope that won't immensely backfire on him and Belle in the end, as it seems like every time he tries to do the right thing, he gets punished for it in the storyline sooner or later.

I finally got my other Amazon gift card, so it was time for another little shopping spree. Unfortunately, some of the things I thought I was going to get abruptly went off sale prices or went out of stock AGAIN, so I had to revamp some of my plans. I am still going to be able to get the one Perry set I'm missing, so that's awesome. Then I discovered Get Smart was $7.99 a season, except for season 2 at $9.99. I decided to get season 5 to have that epic two-parter in London with Hedley Mattingly (his deadpan reactions to the stupid were so priceless) and season 1 to have the Milton Selzer episodes. But then season 1 said it shipped within 10-12 days. Uggggh. Not acceptable. So I decided to get season 2 instead.

I think season 1 is my favorite, followed by season 2. There were some funny ones in season 4 (especially the honeymoon one, oh gosh), but I think it has impressed me the least of all the seasons overall. I was really disappointed by the wedding episode in particular. Something that momentous should have had a better episode to showcase it. It was just so sad to see 99 doubting Max after everything they've been through together. And then after seeing some of the early Hymie episodes, Max's attitude about him in the bachelor party one did make me cringe when I thought back on it. Season 4 has some serious OOC behavior.

I had wanted season 3 of Mannix, as that's the only Mannix one I'm missing, but it went out of stock again. I also considered season 4 of WWW, since I figure my TV copies are cut up, but it was out of stock too. Then I thought to check The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries and decided to pick up season 2 for about the same price I thought I'd be getting Mannix or WWW for. I can't stand the crossover episodes with the characters, at least the ones with Pamela Sue Martin, as Frank just acts so unbearably sexist and doesn't respect Nancy as a detective and it's awful and painful to watch, but luckily I think they only had two of those. I loved all the solo Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew ventures from season 2, and the crossovers with Janet Louise Johnson playing Nancy were not sexist, so I handled those far better.

I finished off the order with the original Equestria Girls movie, which was only $4.74! I like the other two better, as I don't really like seeing Sunset Shimmer as the villain, but those movies wouldn't have as strong an impact without that first one. Sunset's journey from the first movie through the third one is really incredible. I'm so excited to see what comes next.

Then at Wal-Mart yesterday, I found Sweet Dreams Bear! I think she's my favorite female character on the recent Care Bears series. I was thinking I'd have to get a tiny beanbag of her, but then on Facebook I heard that they've made a 20-inch one! So I've been looking, and last night I dug her out of the new shipment on the shelf! I debated for a moment on whether to get her right then, but I decided I should, since I really wanted her, there was no telling when I might see her again, and I could afford it at the moment. I had some really great success on Textbroker last week that should give me some good money to have over the holidays. Maybe I'll be able to get presents for more people this year! We'll see.

So anyway, now Sweet Dreams is sitting next to Bedtime Bear on the bed. They look so cute sitting there. I still kind of want Share Bear and Cheer Bear in the big size too, but I don't know if/when that will happen. Wish Bear is the one I want the most that I don't have, and I can't figure out why I haven't seen the medium size of her yet. I wonder if they might make a big one of her too.

yeah I don't really want to get into season 5 of Once (king arthur is such a pain, but man that twist that the dagger was part of excalibur) though with what they did with Merida here, kind of makes me wish that Brave was a live action film instead of a Pixar film. I am not looking forward to episode 100

I heard that a new Nancy Drew series is in development, and I really hope it gets greenlit because there isn't much out there for me to watch hmmm I really need to add on to that Nancy Drew crossover fic I'm planning, sigh and the season 2 finale I posted still hasn't been seen.

The dagger as part of Excalibur is quite a twist indeed. And oh yes, I love Merida! I wish I could see more of her scenes without wading through the mess of season 5. I don't like what they're doing to Arthur, not at all.

What's episode 100?

Hmmm. I'm a little worried; I haven't liked any Nancy Drew incarnation except the 1970s one and the games (and of course, the 1970s one made some characterization errors too). If the series does come out, hopefully it will be faithful to all the characters.

I saw that you posted it. Although you're right that I haven't read it. I haven't been on Livejournal much lately because of the ad mess. Ugggh. I've heard some of them have been cleared up at last, though; I don't see that vertical one that was on my journal for a while.

well apparently they are going to the underworld for season 5B (oh yeah and Hercules and Meg are coming) but the reason why I am not looking forward to it is because well basically they are going to Once Hell (which I often joked about in the facebook page when I got fed up with whoever the antagonist is) and we'll be seeing some not so dearly departed antagonists and unfortunately Peter Pan is one of them. But on the other hand I haven't seen the Blind Witch in action (because I skipped season 1, I just wasnt' ready)

really ad mess? I never noticed that

I heard about Hades coming into it, but I thought it was the person and not the place. Guess it's both. I should have expected that from the show. Ten to one they're in the underworld to rescue someone who dies at the mid-season finale. And I will be so not surprised if it's Rumpel, given his track record of having crap happen to him when he tries to do the right thing.

I thought the Blind Witch was season 2, if you mean the seer with eyes in her hands.... Or do you mean someone else, like the Hansel and Gretel witch? Gah, I haven't seen season 1 since it first aired. You really should see it if you can find it. It was so good.

Yeah, it's been torture for many people who don't have Paid accounts.

Hansel and Gretl was in season 1, she was in season 1. If it ever does get syndicated then I will give season 1 a game try

I don't have a paid account and I never experienced that

Okay, so you mean the Hansel and Gretel witch. Season 1 was probably the best season. That's so strange, though; I thought I remembered you watched season 1 and we talked about it. Huh.

You're lucky then. Crystal and I and another friend of ours have been having a horrible time. Others have, too. Maybe it only affects some U.S. users.

Ooh. Seeing Rumpel at his best sounds very tempting. Even if Emma is the villain. I didn't like that angle at all, either. Bah.

That is still an amazing price for full season sets. Pity about S1, though; I know you really loved Milton's eps. I really do hope you can get them at some point.

Season 1 and 2 are definitely best. :) And yeah, there were definitely some Season 4 gems. Did you see the one where Max meets 99's mom for the first time, and Siegfried is running around as the Red Baron? But yeaaaaah, I hated how Max treated Hymie in that bachelor party ep after how Max tried to treat him like a human in the earlier seasons. There's a good one in Season 3 where they both stand up for each other against another robot.

And baaaah at the sexism in the old Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew eps. Bleh.

And yay Equestria Girls and bears!

Yesss, that was so great, even with having to see Dark Emma in the process!

Yeah, I think the only I didn't like was the one where Max kept accidentally breaking Parker's stuff. Hopefully they'll get it properly in stock soon. Or maybe Wal-Mart will have it again; sometimes I see season 1 there for $9.99.

Oh yes, that was the other season 4 one I really liked so far. LOL. And I loved the Mission: Impossible parody that opened season 4. That season 3 episode sounds adorable!

Yeah, totally. Ugh. So very different from the books, where Frank and Nancy get along great and love solving mysteries together.

Yes!

Ooh.

Yeah, that's true. And hopefully Wal-Mart will have it soon!

Yep! And yes, it was; it's called "When Good Fellows Get Together"

Indeed, ugh. Though I remember arching my eyebrows during the times when, in the books, Nancy mused about falling for Frank, despite being steady with Ned.

Hopefully!

Awesome. I'll have to see if I have that disc on the queue.

Yeah, the Supermysteries and the Nancy Drew Files both have her interested in other guys sometimes. As I recall, that doesn't happen in the children's series. I don't like how the Young Adult level series bring romance into it more. Although I have to admit, I think Nancy would be happiest with someone who enjoys mysteries as much as she does. I'm not really a Nancy/Frank shipper, but it does make a lot of sense.

(Nancy/Ned is cute, though. But ... my favorite ship would probably be Nancy/Peter Howard from the 1970s series. Buwahaha.... Of course, they don't actually get together, but someday I need to get my fic going again where they interact a lot and eventually form a close relationship ... although I haven't decided yet if they get romantic or if it's a friendship.)
