I started writing a blurb for that fic where the bikers wind up as Duel Monsters characters in a deadly Shadow Game. It's saaad. **pats it.**

...... And where the HECK did a piece of it go???!! **hits head on desk.** Somehow a conversation got pasted into it after the line where Alister is silently acknowledging that he cares about the other two, when I didn't do anything to put it there!!! **erases conversation.** I had a really good part in there and now I'll have to rewrite it quick before I forget. ><;;;; Sometimes I hate computers. . . .

Valon screamed, watching the sword pierce through his friend's body. Alister had tried to fight the apparition off, even resorting to using his arsenal of weapons when it became clear that the culprit was a Duel Monster, but the entity had turned invisible and Alister had failed in his attempt to destroy it. Now it had come from out of nowhere, stabbing him violently and then withdrawing the sword, red with blood. Alister's expression was highly pained and shocked before he fell, lifeless, to the ground on his stomach.

"Alister!!" Valon's voice pierced the otherwise quiet plains. Cerulean eyes flashed with hatred and outrage. "I'll kill you!" he threatened, looking aroundly wildly for Alister's attacker---which had vanished again. "I swear it, I'll kill you!!" He yanked his sword out of its sheath as he ran forward in his Marauding Captain's armor, finally collapsing near Alister's body without finding any sign of the villain along the way. "Get up," he pleaded hollowly, surveying Alister's motionless body. Blood was pooling around him. The massive missile launcher the older man had been carrying over his shoulder had been dropped to the ground, as well as the gun. Alister had hated those weapons, but as the Cyber Commander in the deadly game they had been thrown into, he had been all but forced to wield them against their enemies.

Raphael, busy struggling with his own opponents, finally defeated them and swooped down to where he could see his friends, his strong angel wings carrying him there swiftly. He hated this Shadow Game they had been forced into, and he had been stunned to discover that he was playing the Shine Angel card, especially since he didn't think it suited him. As he got closer to the ground and saw that Valon was pleading with Alister to get up, he felt alarm grip his heart. The cruel gamemaster who had thrown them into this hadn't specified what would happen if their lifepoints were taken down to Zero, but Raphael had a bad feeling that he already knew.

"Valon?!" he called out as he landed, but he was ignored.

The Australian bent over his comrade, trying to ignore the growing puddle of crimson that was staining the grass. "Alister?" he whispered, his voice breaking.

The redhead groaned, struggling to open his gray eyes. He tried to focus on the grass, but his vision refused to cooperate. He did hear Valon's worried voice, and Raphael's, but they sounded far away to him. "You're upset," he managed to say, feeling blood come to his lips. He coughed weakly and then winced at the irritation that brought to his wound.

"Well, of course I'm upset!" Valon yelled. "Look at you! You're a mess! That thing just stuck you with its sword like you're nothin' more than some animal!" He gripped Alister's shoulder tightly, not noticing as Raphael approached and knelt down.

Alister coughed again. "You shouldn't get attached to people, Valon," he remarked, dizziness starting to eclipse his senses. "It only brings a lot of heartache and pain."

"Who said I got attached?!" Valon snapped, tears springing to his eyes. He ripped off a piece of his cape and pressed it firmly against the wound, trying frantically to stop the bleeding. The cloth was soon soaked through with redness.

"Heh. . . ." Alister smirked weakly, having expected that response. He shuddered in pain as Valon struggled with the makeshift bandage.

Raphael's eyes narrowed in concern as he looked the redhead over. He could see that Alister was gravely wounded. And neither he nor Valon had the power to heal him. "How are you feeling?" he asked, keeping his voice steady.

"Not well," Alister responded flatly. Both Valon and Raphael grew more concerned at these words. Usually Alister tried to gloss over his injuries. If he was admitting that he was badly hurt, then he truly must be. To Raphael, Alister actually looked like he was dying. And he was horrified.

"You'll both have to go on without me," Alister continued, groaning as a succession of coughs wracked his battered body. "I'm too wounded to be of any assistance . . . and I won't last much longer, anyway."

Valon's eyes blazed. "WHAT?! You idiot, of course we won't just leave you here!" he cried, clenching a fist. "And quit talkin' like you're dyin'. You're not. That can't happen! Don't you get it?! IT CAN'T!!"

Raphael's expression darkened. "I agree," he said quietly. "We've come through too much. If you think we'd abandon you, you're hurt much worse than we thought." He reached down carefully, tearing off a bit of his tunic to use as a makeshift bandage. Alister had lost so much blood. . . . Had the sword actually stabbed all the way through him? The blonde shuddered at the thought. "And on the subject of dying . . . if you've already determined that you're going to, then I don't doubt that you will."

Alister allowed Raphael to work with the wound, though the loss of blood was overwhelming. "It's not as if I especially want to die," he said, barely audibly. And he knew he truly didn't. Not now, not anymore, even though a short while ago it might have been a different story. But since then he had finally opened his heart and accepted the friendship that the other two bikers had offered. He cared about them greatly, though he never really said so in words, and he knew that they cared about him.

Valon leaned down to look right into Alister's clouded gray eyes. "THEN DON'T!" he screamed. "For crying out loud, don't. . . ." His voice grew softer with each word until finally it broke. "I don't want you to go. . . ."

Alister registered Valon's words and Raphael's continuing struggles to stop the bleeding as the fog started to drift over his consciousness. "I never thought . . . that you were the sentimental type, Valon," he rasped.

"Yeah? I'm not!" Valon snapped. "It's just . . . well, if you go . . . who will I argue with?" It sounded lame and hollow to him as he said it. He hated arguing with Alister, and it certainly wasn't the way they showed affection for each other in their strange friendship. It was the product of miscommunication and frustration, but still, Valon realized that he would miss it. And not because he had decided he was liking it, but because if the arguing was gone, then it meant Alister was gone as well.

"No one, I suppose," Alister retorted, gripping at several blades of grass as the darkness claimed him.

There.

I do that a lot...where I accidentally highlight too much of the text on a page, and then hit paste, and it pastes right overtop of the highlighted text, erasing it. You can always hit undo, luckily. X_x;

^^ Cool blurb so far! Keep up the great work on those!

Yeah, I suppose that's what must have happened, only I don't remember doing it at all. o.o;

**cuddles blurb.** If I make that into a full-fledged story, I wonder if it should open with that scene and then flash back. I use that device sometimes. **nod.**

XD **cuddles Alister.** All shall be resolved, though I'm still trying to determine a good way for that to happen without Alister being ressurrected magically, which is a plot device I generally don't like. Maybe his wound is healed by someone and he's still alive, so he wakes up. ^__^

Well, my latest one gets Raphie into a lot of trouble, poor man. ;__; http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2340471/1/

Great story! **cheers and claps** Poor Alister, he seems a little dead at the moment... XD! I hope he's okay in the end, which I don't doubt he will be, knowing you... The characters must LIIIVE!! But the angst caused by someone seeming to die is much goodness! Poor, poor Valon and Raphie..

This would be so great if it was turned into an actual full-length fic!

^___^ If I can figure out how to work it, it definitely will become a full-length fic. =3

And yes, angst is good. X3 It shows us how much the characters care about each other. ^O^

LOL. Well, my completed fics are longer than yours as well. XD;

**cuddles blurb.** I like it a lot. ^^ I've written some more on it since then, but I might change some of that by the time I do the final version.
