This is rather interesting. Of course it's just for fun and shouldn't be taken really seriously, but it does seem to peg me fairly accurately.
And I hate mice. They don't deserve to be featured as the good guys in cartoons. They cause so much trouble in real life! If a cat came and caught a mouse, it would be hailed as a hero by me. I don't know why people want mice as pets.
Yes, there is a mouse in the house, which probably entered when Dad foolishly left open the garage door, which leads into an entryway for both floors. We've been trying to catch it for hours, and even though we think we have it cornered, I'm worried that it may have sneaked into my room, because earlier it apparently sneaked right past me into another room.
I wish I could borrow Aubrie's Sano for a few hours. XD He could probably catch the freakin' thing.
I finally got some more written in Breakdown, so I'm pleased with that. It's about time. And I've been messing with blurbs again. I'm fiddling now with one I mused over a few days ago about Gin overworking himself so much that he comes down with a cold and later just collapses because he's pushing himself so hard.
Some of the blurbs I write are really bizarre. XD; I got an idea for one that I randomly tried in an RP with Lizzie before writing down the blurb version. Basically it involves Gin being hurt by a car and being supposed to only be unconscious, but Akemi wants to talk to him and does something that makes his spirit leave his body. Vodka thinks Gin is dead and is trying desperately to revive him, and Gin is frustrated and bewildered by the whole thing. Either I dreamed that one, or else I came up with it when I was half-asleep.

Date: 2006-10-11 07:23 pm (UTC)Though mostly, they don't bother me much anymore. When I lived in the trailer with my dad, there were mice everywhere. You simply couldn't keep them out. I remember sitting on the couch, watching TV, and a mouse would run across the room and then no less than two minutes later another would follow. Neither of us would bat an eye. And you'd hear them running across the ceiling and it'd sound like a herd of elephants. Hygene-wise, it's disgusting though and I'm glad I never really kept any of my good/newer stuff at his house and left them at Mom's.
It would be rather entertaining to see what my cat would do if he spotted a mouse. It could keep him occupied for some time, perhaps.

Date: 2006-10-13 04:23 am (UTC)Oh yeah, thanks for your encouragement on the Akemi blurb! You got me excited enough to try rewriting it into something more coherent that I might actually post. ^^ I haven't put up the original because it's so disjointed.

Date: 2006-10-12 11:52 pm (UTC):) I guess my bizarre blurb could be appropriate for Halloween! In my timeline I came up with the idea of Gin and Akemi having been childhood friends, which makes things even more awkward/twisted/intense when he had to kill her.

Date: 2006-10-14 03:38 pm (UTC)I think I was writing Ghosts when I originally came up with that twist. I was doing one of the flashback scenes and somehow it started writing itself, and Akemi and Gin ended up conversing. XD Then when I got the scene done, I stopped, read it over, and decided I liked it.
Of course the whole twist fits in with my love of the Gin/Sherry pairing too. XD The whole relationship between the three of them is very complicated and, well, twisted in my stories. Hope it won't interfere with you liking the blurb, since you wanted to see it. ^^; My Akemi is in a rather rough spot, since she cares about both Gin and Sherry. **is somewhat concerned that Akemi may seem OOC without previous knowledge of these various twists.** Things are explained much better in Ghosts.... But I'm probably just being paranoid again because I remember too well how people threw rotten fruit at me in other fandoms for some of the things I did. XD;
XD I still need to see The Nightmare Before Christmas. It's a cult classic, and I've never seen it....

Date: 2006-10-14 07:37 pm (UTC)Hehe, you shouldn't have to worry about rotten fruit, since we're all nice people here! As a lover of the original series, it's hard for me to enjoy fics largely based on fanon and OOCness, but that doesn't mean such fics can't still be good. ^^
Gasp! You h-haven't? Go, rent it now! While you're at it, get Corpse Bride, too! XD

Date: 2006-10-15 12:56 am (UTC)And there's no canon evidence against the idea that Gin and Akemi could have been childhood friends. ^^ Using that concept, I do think I'm writing Akemi fairly well. She doesn't excuse Gin for what he's done and all the people he's killed, but since her death she's been observing him as well as Sherry, and she's determined that he does still have some good in him. That gives her some confidence in him again, and she's also seen how the hunt for Sherry is dragging on. She feels that Gin partially doesn't want Sherry dead, even though he also probably just wants to prolong her torture.... She's hoping that in the end, whatever good he has left will triumph over his dark side. Though in any case, he'd probably always be twisted to some extent. That's just part of who he is. XD
