I am in a terribly pleased mood right now. XD Forgotten Films sent some more of the stuff I ordered. They sent three, all at once! I wasn't expecting that many. They sent Paratroop Command, Hot Shots, and Hold That Hypnotist. The latter two are Bowery Boys films, the former is a little-known WWII drama. I was watching Paratroop Command first, and oooh, I was not disappointed! Not only is it a good, deep film, but Jimmy has a very very big part in it! I was in heaven. XD His character this time was still aloof and sarcastic, as most of them seem to be, but this one was also a bit of a Casanova. LOL.

I haven't seen the Bowery Boys movies yet. I'll see at least one of them later tonight. Dad also brought home Bewitched: Season 1 (featuring an episode with Jimmy, which is the only reason I wanted the set, since I don't care for shows with witches because people get turned into weird things too much), The Gnome-Mobile (in which Jimmy voices a raccoon), and Mister Roberts, so I can finally see if this mysterious "Jim Murphy" is the same person as Jimmy! The X-Files came in too. X3

Watching Jimmy is like eating peanuts. I can't get enough. And I love his voice. I could listen to him for ages. XD; **shameless fangirling.**

I don't know why, but it never actually occured to me before that the surname "Morales" would be of Spanish or Portugese origin. But maybe it's not that strange that I didn't think of that. After all, Baby Face doesn't look to be Spanish or Portugese. I wonder if the name has an Italian equivalent. (Micky is part Italian in real life, though I guess he doesn't actually look that, either.) If not, then in determining his lineage, I'd have to say that he takes after his father. XD; In my version of his history, he's an illegitimate child and he probably is using his mother's last name.

The reason why this thing about the name finally occured to me is that in my latest wandering through the cemetery, I found a Morales whose name looked Mexican. So I came home and looked up the name online, which is what I should have done to begin with. XD; The name, BTW, means "Son of Moral," a given name meaning "right and proper." **laughs.** I knew it had to be a joke in some way.

I love that cemetery so much. It's so quiet and peaceful, and on the east side there's a hollow tree and a meadowy area and a hill, and pine trees with lots of dead needles on the ground. It reminds me so much of the Salt Lake cemetery in that spot. The Salt Lake cemetery creeps me out in some ways, but in other ways I just love it.

The last couple of days I've been walking to the post office, too. It's just a couple blocks from the cemetery. I just love feeling safe enough to be able to go walk around like this! I could never have felt safe enough to do this in the old neighborhood.

On Sunday morning I started working on a Bowery Boys fanfiction. I was so tired when I was writing some of it that I was dozing in the chair, then writing a few lines, then dozing again. When I looked at it later, I could see that I hadn't been all there. XD;

I have two ideas for Bowery Boys stories. One is thanks to Paul from The Bowery at Yahoo, who casually mentioned in a discussion that he would have liked to have seen Slip return for the last film and he and Duke could have argued over who would be the leader while Sach was caught in the middle. XD I don't want to write that until I see Slip in action. The one I'm writing involves Sach and Duke having a huge argument after Sach makes another blunder, and Sach wandering off and getting abducted by George and Lenny from Monkees in a Ghost Town because they think he's the guy The Big Man was telling them about who took some diamonds. Yeah, shameless mini-crossover. XD; Then the others are looking for him, and Duke's getting worried, but he doesn't want to admit it.

The blunder Sach makes was inspired by real life. XD; Dad had to drill a hole in my wall, string a cord through it to the external modem, then drill a hole in the floor, string another cord through the family room and all the way to the computer room, where it plugs into his computer and connects the two computers with the modem. It was done without a hitch, but I couldn't help thinking how badly Sach would have screwed it up if he'd been the one doing it. In Spook Chasers, he tries fixing a drip in the kitchen sink and ends up hooking the electricity to the sink and the water to the telephone. XD Duke picks up the receiver and water shoots out of it! So in my fic, Sach tries to hook up the Internet in Clancy's Café and ends up getting the television sound to come through the telephone, and the television starts ringing. Then the Internet comes through the neon sign outside and overloads it. Duke is so mad!

I just hope the people at The Bowery don't mind me having the story take place in modern times. **laughs.** I personally find their movies to be so timeless that it really doesn't matter whether they take place in the fifties or in 2006. That's the same way I feel about The Monkees, too.

Lastly, I finally started putting up my new Monkees stories at my website, which is now linked from LJ. I changed and added some things to The Return of Baby Face Morales, and the new version is up there. I also put up Will the Real Baby Face Please Stand Up?, which is done now, and the first four chapters of This Just Doesn't Seem to Be Our Day. Next I will get up some of the stuff I've been writing specifically about Baby Face and Tony.
