Lisa found a treasure trove of Crisis Core stuff, screengrabs for the first six chapters in the game (up to when Zack's hair style changes), and transcripts too. I haven't read everything, but chapter 4 is LOVE. Seph and Zack on their mission to find Angeal and Genesis! You can see how they're bonding and opening up to each other, and it's just ... SQUEE. There's also the flashback to the Seph and Genesis fight, plus they meet Genesis in the present.
This is the link to chapter four, for those daring to tread into spoiler territory: http://www.silenttweak.net/index.php?file=cc/chapter4 (everything else is accessible from the menu to the left, too)
But I want to post a little piece of the Seph and Genesis conversation in here. It's not really spoilery, but has some lovely pieces of character development.
Genesis: 「You were loved by the Goddess and shared none of her blessings. Even as heroes the world hates.」
Sephiroth: 「Loveless」 You haven't changed.
Genesis: The three friends are now gathered. One becomes chased. One takes flight. The last remaining friend becomes the hero.
Sephiroth: Quite the story.
Genesis: Between us and Angeal, which one is the hero? Me? or perhaps you?
Sephiroth: You can be the hero if you want.
Genesis: Oh. Your fame should have originally been mine.
Sephiroth: How pointless.
Genesis: Even now. What I truly wish to obtain is the 「Gift of the Goddess」.
Of course, I'm squeeing over Seph, quite weary of it all and disinterested in the glory he has. I'm undecided on what I think of Genesis, and I probably won't know until I've read everything (possibly not then, either), but I am still both puzzled and intrigued by his goals. What, exactly, does he believe is the "Gift of the Goddess"? Intriguing.
And I'm so terribly fond of my poor KH Seph clone who dies in Memento Mori. ;__; I kinda don't want to bring him back to life, considering that fic and his sacrifice. I'd rather leave that as it is. He had a very noble death scene. But I feel like writing a different, alternate story to introduce him in which he doesn't die. In such a storyline, it would probably be similar to how it went in my KH RP with Lisa: he shows up after a big battle with the clones and KH Hojo and declares his allegiance to Seph and the others.
Though if I did such an alternate storyline, and made that the main timeline instead (making Memento Mori the actual alternate version), it would eliminate the great character development between Cloud and Seph in Memento Mori. Of course, then I'd have another opportunity and more possibilities to try working that in another way.
Shine Until Tomorrow now has eight full chapters and I'm working on 9. I think the total may be 10 chapters and an epilogue.
