H/C musings
Jun. 7th, 2010 11:41 amI got up chapter two of the crypt fic. I'm nervous about it; there's more references to a present-day setting, not to mention I was pulling on my hair trying to figure out what to do with Ahiru. On the one hand, she's worried about Fakir and wants to stay with him and encourage him to wake up. But Charon's there, and Ahiru's also worried about Autor going off to investigate the crime alone. So she goes with Autor, though she does tell Fakir she'll be back as soon as she can. In the end I don't know if I depicted her dilemma of being torn between her two best friends enough. (Yeah, at this point in my timeline, she and Autor are quite close.)
I ended up randomly drawing a picture of Fakir carrying a badly battered Autor. I had debated briefly on if Fakir actually could carry him, but then I remembered he carried Mytho in episode #6. It required yet another profile view, and I already did one of those on a pic where Autor is with Fakir after the fall down the stairs, so who knows, maybe I'll master it yet. Princess Tutu is challenging me to do several things I try to avoid in art. Backgrounds are another of those.
But yeah, Autor's really a mess. He's not wearing his glasses (he lost them in the calamity), his hair's slipping down over his left eye, and his clothes are ripped and torn something awful. In color there probably will be some blood. It's kind of a combination of a scenario for something that will likely be talked about soon, as well as a random, unrelated h/c scene I played out in my head. Autor seems to die in the latter, he goes still with his eyes half-open and Fakir closes them. I liked the imagery, but it's heartbreaking. He doesn't die in the former, though he probably will still end up looking just as alarming.
