**falls over.**

I am getting so tired of sleeping for four and a half hours and then waking up without being able to go back to sleep! -___-;
I finally finished my chapter, so I'm getting more confident about being able to read things. Hopefully I can catch up on replying to entries and such.
And I was just reminded that I need to finish The Diamond Rose Glass. XD Which I really want to do, but can't seem to get back to ever since realizing part of what I had planned for the climax won't work. **headdesk.** Very discouraging. But hmm.... Maybe now that my tornado chapter's done, I can get The Diamond Rose Glass out and look it over. X3
It's amusing how rusty early fics in a fandom can sound. **would like to redo some things in her early FF7 fics, such as A New Beginning.** And I was thinking about fictional Elliott's characterization in my Carmen fics. He was really tense and short-tempered in those first few stories. I added other things here and there, like his clumsiness in the second fic, but I don't think it was until I heard Kingdom of Shy and wrote You Won't Be So Far Away that I really started figuring out how I wanted to write him---sweet and shy, but with a righteously indignant streak that flares up when his friends are being hurt. And of course, he's more intelligent than season 3 portrayed him as being. XD;
Sean was actually a bit of a puzzle to me too at first, but I think I was able to figure him out by the end of Walk Like an Egyptian. XD;

YAY for continuing Diamond Rose Glass! But not so yay for defective climax... Plot hole problems, or "Er, maybe not"?
Or you've run out of ways to resurrect your characters >_> It's funny how someone seems to die in every fic, and when they come back and the next fic comes along and they die again you can still make me believe they're not coming back XD
I NO RITE. I reread the FFVII/Carmen Sandiego crossover blurbs the other day and the guys seem... utterly unconcerned about Scott's death. They're just walking out with his body when Mr. Voice shows up o_0 If the Carmen Sandiego tags are anything to go by, it happens to be the first thing you wrote for the fandom. You subconsciously warp the characters' personalities to make them react the way you want to, but then you go "Wait. Waaaaait... Yeah right." When you read them later.
And yay for Sean censoring himself and asking random people about tabloids, lol.no subject
Date: 2009-03-31 04:05 am (UTC)Kind of more the "Er, maybe not". XD It didn't have anything to do with bringing someone back to life, though. But it did involve an injury. ;)
Buwahaha. I've tried to tone down the frequency of it with the Carmen fics, alternating it with injuries of varying seriousness, but I still love a good Disney death now and then....
I had no idea what I was doing when I wrote those blurbs. XD; But I did have a basis for them carrying Scott humming a funeral dirge. It was based on a skit in The Boll Weevil Retrieval episode where they think Greg was killed.
Mermaid Cove was fun to write. X3no subject

Ah, Diamond Rose Glass. And that reminds me that Eine Mitternachtsstimme is overdue for an update. XD
**hugs Elliott** Yay for portraying him as more intelligent! And I do love that righteous side... And I love how you write his friendship with Scott. X3
Ah, Sean... ♥ **hugs him, too**

**hugs them all.** X3 Writing El and Scott interaction is definitely one of my favorite things.

Bleh. **flicks climax!** What's the problem with it?
Yeah, early fics can definitely be awkward! It's kind of interesting, though, to see how the fics improve over time. ^^ I'd probably do a lot of things differently in my early fics, but I also like the idea of leaving them as they are, just to see the progress. ....As long as they aren't absolutely horrible, that is. XD
I like the way you write El and Sean. ^^ I think you've definitely figured them out!

Well, I was originally going to have something with Azazel being hurt and Dalton getting his memories back at that point. I no longer want to do that. XD; It feels like it would be putting too much emphasis on the OCs, but moreso, for some reason I just don't want to do it and I'm not even sure why. LOL. Sometimes I get a weird aversion to OC hurt/comfort, even though other times it doesn't bother me. And I feel that aversion to this scenario now.
**nods.** On the one hand, I'd really like to alter some things. Like one thing I completely removed from Elliott's personality was him feeling like he needs to do everything himself. I gave that to Sean instead. But I've left that with El in Walk Like An Egyptian anyway.
X3 **hugs El and Sean.**

Date: 2009-04-19 04:25 am (UTC)LOL. Hmmm.... **ponders on how to do it.** Dalton originally lost his memories from falling over the cliff with Zack, right? Wasn't there some scenario we'd talked about where something similar happens, and that's how he gets his memories back? **tries to remember.** Maybe it was something with Zack going over a cliff, and Dalton being the only one available to help him, and that's when he remembers?
XD Are you planning to go back to change it?
**hugs them too.** X3

Date: 2009-04-19 04:56 am (UTC)Well, it was that Azazel fell off the cliff and that's what restored his memories. But I was also going to do Zack almost falling and Dalton does end up rescuing him, for some reason. That was actually why Azazel fell, because Dalton was helping Zack and couldn't get to him. o.o
I probably won't. XD Let it stand as a testament to what's different. LOL.

Date: 2009-04-19 05:12 am (UTC)Ahhh. **nods.** So is there something else that might bring Dalton's memories back, other than Azazel being injured? Would it be enough to have a similar scenario without Azazel being involved like that?
LOL. Nothing wrong with that!
