... Uh oh.

So I watched Christopher Cary's first appearance on The Rockford Files the other day. He's a rather nasty sort, but I found the character interesting due to certain unusual things he does about some of the situations they get into. I talked about it more on Tumblr. http://lucky-ladybugs-lovelies.tumblr.com/post/56245153227/ginger-is-a-rather-interesting-character-he

I've been kind of obsessed with the character since then. And while my Tumblr explanation is at least part of it, I'm afraid I know what the other, and possibly the main, part of it is.

This is the first time I've seen Chrissy in a substantial part in the late 1970's. The only other things I've seen him in from that era, Wonder Woman episodes, do not feature as much screentime for him or as forceful/memorable of a part. And ... while he has a boyish adorableness in the late 1960s and he's just so cute and huggable, he's grown up in the late 1970s and I find that immensely more attractive. It sounds so shallow, but I can't seem to help it or control it. (Yes, I notice I'm getting excited again just typing about it....)

So I discover once again just how much I am attracted to older men. It doesn't make sense to me, but it's obviously there and not about to go away any time soon. I have to accept it. But I do wish it would settle down, because I would really like to concentrate on writing something about Snakes Tolliver and not Ginger Townsend. And I would like to finish my Virginian chapter. And I would like to write something about Coley and Lafe.

**headdesk.**

Older men are some of my favorite also. Quincy (Jack Klugman) was one of my favorites in that field.

Quincy is a fun character! I really like Jack Klugman, from what I know of him. :)

there something about an older man that is interesting when he plays some of the roles. I enjoy Robert Vaughn in Hustle and David McCallum in NCIS--they have many of the same actions and behavior as in MFU.

That would be interesting! I've wanted to try NCIS.

I'm a Robert Vaughn girl but David McCallum come in a close second. Hustle is an English program that just went off after 8 years. NCIS is going on to it's 12 season and David is still on it.

Normally I like the aloof characters best, but Napoleon is so endearing that I've never been able to choose between him and Illya. I like the actors about the same, I think, though sometimes I think I lean a little more towards David.

I'm not familiar with Hustle! Is Robert a regular throughout it?

It's definitely awesome that David is still with NCIS.

He is one of the stars, there are 5 of them, he is the 'father' figure for a group of gifters. So much fun. Now sure where you live but if you have direct TV its on AXSTV channel 340. The repeats are on at 9amCST but on August 5 the first show is on.

Sweet! I don't have cable or satellite, just broadcast, but I'll keep that in mind if we ever decide to try DirecTV.

Have any DVDs been released?

Season 1-4 was released in Us, in England seasons 1-8--he's in all but one of them.
NCIS has 10 seasons out.

Sweet! Maybe I can see if Netflix has 1-4. And I'm sure they have NCIS, at any rate.

Why was Robert absent from one of the Hustle seasons?

Not sure, but it was only one show not season.

Ahh, I see. That definitely makes a difference. :)

Do you have a site with your stories--I would be interesting at reading some of them.

Most of them are just at my FF.net page: http://www.fanfiction.net/~Luckyladybug

But I have some stuff here that I don't post on FF.net, and also I've started posting a few things on Tumblr. Here, they're under the Fanfiction tag under my Memories. On Tumblr, searching Fanfiction at my Lucky-Ladybugs-Lovelies account should bring them up. The Tumblr-exclusive stuff has been kind of strange so far, though. ;) Although everything I write seems to get a little strange eventually....

I hope you enjoy!

Thanks I'll looked the one here over, as I have you as a favorite on Ff. tumbir I haven't really gone to. Oh by the way your idea of an apple eating villain turning good guy is so original.

Thank you! :) I wanted to write for that fellow, partially because he has some surprising similarities with another character the actor played who is also called Pinto. (That's why I started calling the apple one Lucius, to tell them apart.) But, while I wanted to write for Lucius, I was having trouble thinking of a way to keep him from being executed. I was pleased when I arrived at the idea of him joining a counterspy organization.

He is fun to see in the mix with the two guys, each who also have some past they fight at times. Hope to see more of him.

Thank you! :) There will definitely be more. I've been thinking of what the next installment should be.

He and Mr. Waverly appear in one of my Wild Wild West time-travel stories, The Night of the Deadly Codename, although that's part three of a trilogy. Napoleon and Illya come into the action later on, in time for the climax. :)

can I ask where you're from. Just wondering.

You can ask, but you might not get a straight answer. ;) I prefer not to say in general, especially in a public entry. But I'll muse that maybe one reason I love Westerns is that they feel like home. :)
