We have snow outside! It's been snowing all day, and it's probably still coming down now. It's all nice and Christmasy.

Matty made this icon. ^^ I've been wanting one of Valon's hair popping for months. XD It amuses me greatly.

I got hit by a barrage of plot bunnies over the weekend. XD I've been working on the two requested blurbs. I think Aubrie's is done. SK's is going more slowly as I try to get a feel for the Saiyuki characters. ^^; But it's coming along!

Also, the Chaotix was on Sonic X last Saturday, and every time that happens, my Sonic X fic just screams to be written. This time I was able to piece it together enough to start writing! I'm combining all of my Sonic X ideas into one fic. It will take place in Season 2, right after Cream had to fight ML when he went berserk. Fang the Sniper will make his appearance, and I will tell the story behind Mighty's non-existence. XD; **hates it when characters vanish without a trace.** It will be a dark fic, with mention of death and how various characters deal with it. The death(s) are real, too. No coming back.

I found it very easy to slip into writing for the Sonic characters, even the Chaotix, whom I haven't written for much at all, and Chris, whom I have never written for before. I wonder if I will write for Fang any differently than I used to. Calling him Fang in and of itself is something different. XD; He hasn't appeared in the fic yet, but he's been talked about, and he's really the key to the whole thing. I need to decide what he's there for in the first place. Maybe he'll have a mission. It reminds me of a story idea someone suggested long ago about having him kidnap Cream. I just don't know what his motive would be.

Then, thanks to a song that Aubrie posted in her music community on Saturday (and the ensuing discussion about it), I decided to add some stuff about Siegfried's relationship with his mother in the psychological fic I've been doing. And I've finally decided to take the plunge and write stories for each person that the self-proclaimed Grim Reaper goes after. Both Aubrie and Stacey have encouraged it, and it should be an interesting challenge, especially doing a chapter for Pegasus. XD; I also decided that the person whom the guy goes after last will stop him. There will probably be four parts (they'll be too long and stand-alone to be called chapters), with maybe an epilogue.

The other day I got an email about the Azureshipping fanlisting moving to a new address. I followed it there with the intention of unsubscribing, and then I decided to read the "Why?" section. The person who runs the thing is actually quite devoted to keeping things canon, and she expressed that the fanlisting was both for actual shippers and those who want Seto and Téa to just be friends. She touched on some of the reasons why I like them as friends, pretty much. So anyway I decided not to unsubscribe.

That and Aubrie asking me what I think of the Seto and Tazi pairing got me musing again on how a friendship with Seto actually would go. I can't really picture Seto openly acknowledging any sort of relationship like that, friendship or romantic. He'd let the person tag along with him and be civil enough, but I just can't seem to see him getting affectionate. Basically he'd probably be the same as he always has been, and the differences would be subtle, such as him not doing as much insulting and stuff like that. XD; Very occassionally in a romance I imagine he would have to let his defenses down, but I doubt it would happen too much and that's kinda how I play him against Aubrie's Tazi and also with Yaminah, who he's friends with. I always loved writing scenes with Seto and Téa in my mystery fics. XD They're good counters for each other.

And of course I always did like Téa in general. I never did understand the immense hatred of her in the fandom, and I still don't. XD; She's a strong female character who doesn't take crap from anyone and always stands up to people. And as Dai_Atlas points out, Yami Yugi talks a lot more about friendship than Téa does. So what's the deal? Frankly, I think the majority of Téa haters are the fangirlish idiots who complain that Téa is in the way of them being with Yami Yugi, or in the way of the Yami YugiXYugi pairing. Of course not all of them are like that, but I still don't get the arguments, even when they're presented in a level-headed way.

The past couple of days I've been working on a picture of Alister clutching at Valon's injured body, looking like he's going to have a nervous breakdown.
