I love the manga so far, but the anime definitely improved on the train incident. Hughes wasn't in that in the manga. ;__; **sniffle.** He was one of the best things about the episode. XD
Also, I don't know how accurate the translation was, but I winced at that guy using such colorful language. **smile.** And they didn't even have the part where he was telling Ed that they were alike because of their limbs. I love that part!
I did end up ordering the Saiyuki movie. **nod.** It should get here next week sometime. ^^
And I dearly do love Alexander. XD **pats him.** So cute.
**ponders.** I think in general, I like developing OCs better in RPs than in stories. OCs are generally only cared about by a handful of people, and in an RP they are generally among those who've seen them develope and who care about them, but put them in a story and it's hard to capture the same magic for lots of people. XD; I think that's why I'm having such trouble with Phantom of the Theatre. I know that people just won't care about Runihura's story the way Aubrie and I do.

Date: 2005-07-29 01:17 pm (UTC)Yay! I've had the commentary running through my head. XD;; **thinking about watching it again** I do so very much love good commentaries.
And Alexander is adorable. Hell, even Dartz is failing to deny it. XP He tries so very hard to keep the annoyed act up . . .
Yes, oh so very true. I always try to think of it as all the more the challenge, though I know that means squat. LOL I was very pleased when some people were actually feeling bad for Yaminah in Draw Blood when she was sick and whatnot and demanding that Bakura get in there to offer comfort. One of the few success stories. XD;
I keep trying to not to bug you too much about working on it. XD;; (I feel if I didn't do any at all I wouldn't be doing part of my end of the deal. XP) But I'm just so damn eager to work on more of it. LOL No, it won't be as good as the RPs and it probably won't mean as much to a lot of people, but maybe we'll get lucky. If we do it right, maybe we'll be in for a pleasant surprise. I want this fanfic to go out with a bang. XD Possibly quite literally.

When you RP with another person, it makes things a lot more random, giving you a better chance to experiment with how your character reacts to certain people and situations. XD

Date: 2005-07-31 06:09 am (UTC)Yeah, a good OC is a tricky thing to accomplish. I hate it when any OC suddenly takes the spotlight and the canon characters are all pushed to the side, though. There must be a balance.
