Why in Heaven's name are the Valentine brothers so popular? **sweatdrop.** Oy. Luke is such an arrogant fool who vastly underestimated his opponent, and Jan is a vulgar, vile little **falls to incoherent mumblings.** Of course, Jan is the most popular too. -__- I wonder what that says about our society.
I also don't get why even The Major has fans. XD; He's completely sick. Honestly, the only one in Millennium I like at all is Schrodinger. I wish he'd get out of it, but I know that's highly unlikely, since he's probably been in it all his life and has been raised with its teachings and such. He seems to like The Major too, and I guess maybe that's The Major's only redeeming quality, that he treats Schrodinger well.
Aubrie has created two wonderful new communities, including one that shall affiliate with Children of Eve: Cards and Roses, the Grand Prix club! Muwahahaha. X3 Then there's Life is a Highway, which is for music and anime lovers. ^^ She's hoping for some more new members, so if anyone reading this is interested, you're all definitely welcome!
And now I bring you a present tense blurb. Lisa likes to write in the present tense, so I decided to try it out. I don't plan to actually write fics in the present tense, unless they're in first person, but it was an interesting experience. Be warned, the blurb is sad and dark. But then again, this is me we're talking about. XD; Why wouldn't it be sad and dark?
Siegfried enters the darkened manor with narrowed eyes, looking around for any signs of life. There is a faint, sweet odor in the air that does not seem natural to him, and he reaches for the light switch with trepidation, uncertain of what he will find.
The last thing he expects is to see several of his maids laying prone on the floor. With a frown he goes over and kneels down, checking the vitals of the nearest one, who happens to be Heidi. She moans when he touches her and tries to pull away, but does not regain consciousness. Slowly Siegfried stands up again, walking amongst the women and discovering that it is the same with all of them. Someone has been there in his absence, and it seems that the person has worked quite a bit of mischief.
Suddenly a new thought occurs to him and he heads for the stairs, concerned for his brother's well-being. He does not speak, in case the intruder is still there and will hear him. Along the way, he finds several more of his servants, all in the same condition as the others. He is confused now. Why would someone do this? What is it they wanted?
When he reaches the top of the stairs, he steps in a puddle of blood and frowns, looking down at it in disbelief. Where did this come from? Why is it on his floor? He is not pleased with the sight, and less pleased that he stepped in it. Then, as he looks down the hall, he sees that there is more blood on the floor and even the walls. Disturbed now, he follows the trails and finds a small form crumpled on the floor.
"Leonhard?!" he calls in disbelief and alarm. He receives no answer.
Immediately he goes over and kneels down, carefully checking the child for any signs of life. Leonhard is still and cold to the touch, and makes no response when Siegfried tries to revive him. Blood is coming from stab wounds inflicted in his chest, back, and arm, and there is no breath or heartbeat. With a sinking feeling, the businessman realizes that his brother is dead.
Gently he takes the body into his arms, cradling the empty shell and feeling numb with horror. Leonhard has been all he had, the only person who has ever truly loved him, and now he has failed the boy. He was not there when his brother truly needed him. It is obvious that Leonhard has been deliberately and cruelly killed. Siegfried feels a strong sense of revulsion at this deduction and he narrows his eyes, the tears gathering within them. Leonhard feels so limp and heavy in his arms. . . .
Then he sees the message on the floor, written in blood. "I know what you did. I know what a wicked person you truly are. Your brother is paying for your sins. You were responsible for your father's suicide. Consider this death your fault, too."
Stunned, Siegfried stares at it, continuing to clutch his brother's fatally wounded form. He feels decidedly sickened and angry. Who would even know that he blamed himself for what happened to his father? He has never told anyone. And now Leonhard is dead. . . . Whoever murdered him wanted to get at Siegfried, and they knew that this would cut him deeper than anything else at the moment. He has been struggling to get his company back in order, and he feels that KaibaCorp is always interfering with the Von Schraider company being recognized, but he has always had his brother with him as the one positive constant in his life. Now this unknown enemy has taken that from him. An innocent life has been destroyed because of this psychotic plan, and Siegfried will not forgive whoever is responsible.

Date: 2005-09-13 03:16 pm (UTC)Hellsing fans whom actually look for any depth in the show/manga or rather sparse. ~.~;;; I actually met one on the Hellsing comm and they're like, 35. So what do that say? --__--
The Major actually interests me though. He makes an excellent villian. When you get into the later volumes, he has all these long speeches. No, the Valentine brothers don't deserve fans. But the Major in my eyes certainly does, because he is a fascinating character. Though I really don't see why anyone would really rather be fans of those Nazis . . . Blah.
As for Schrodinger . . . pleeeaaaase don't turn him into a repented villian. **begs shamelessly** I will cry. It just seems so horribly out of character. He's rather mischievious . . . reminds me of a Loki character really. He finds no shame in what he does. Part of his can probably be contributed to his cat likeness, and they are creatures of no shame from what I've seen. XD
I could maybe see him realizing he's on the losing side or perhaps the Millennium organization was wrong, but never repenting for what he's done. In which he may help out the Hellsing organization in some ways (possibly because of his crush on Seras), but never join them. Kinda all in an . . . anti-heroish way. That in my mind, doesn't seem so far-fetched, and actually somewhat likely when I think about it . . . Him repenting and becoming one of the good guys (Alucard would blow his head off all the same) . . . scares the HELL out of me; no pun intended. I know, I know, it's probably none of my business what you do, but . . . **whines** It's just scaaaarrrrryyyy . . . **imagines sibling and friendship fluff coming into the Hellsing and hides under her bed** And this is extreme and has nothing to do with you . . . **now has the fear in her mind that someone would try and make a shojo out of Hellsing** Though maybe that stuff was nothing you had in mind, but I believe in being prepared, as you are somewhat
infamous for that. XP Or maybe I'm just being paranoid . . . **feels guilty for saying such things if they offend you in any way, but felt it needed to be said** Hellsing - potential for cuteness, but not fluff. At least, that's how, and probably a majority of the fans see it as. **shrugs** So if that's what you intend, please warn me so I can prepare myself and not be so utterly frightened. XDBut anywhoooo . . . Thank you for spamming your journal with my communities. XD;; I'll try to get to working on those link/banners when I can think of how I want to do them.
The blurb certainly was interesting. **nodnod, then sniffles** Poor Leonhard . . . he's only a child. Though the whole conspiracy thing against Siegfried's company intriiiiigues me muchly so. I wish I was more attentive/able to think so I could say more about it. The only thing that really stuck out to me was He feels decidedly sickened and angry. The sentance just seems odd . . . or whenever one says someone decidedly feels a certain way. Mostly because to me it makes it sound like the person stopped to think to themselves "Okay, I'm gonna be angry and devastated now **nodnod**". XD;;
Present tense has never attracted me in the least, unless it's supposed to be in second person with "you" as the character, like a choose your own adventure thing or something like my "Matters of Mania" or of course, an RP. Third person has always seemed more sophisticated, and easier to follow. Though yes, it's interesting to experiment now and again. **thinking about maybe trying to write her idea about Seto and Yaminah** The one where she thought he was dead and stuff . . .

Date: 2005-09-13 11:52 pm (UTC)I've been thinking of something. . . . How the heck does just looking at someone and saying hello translate to "I have a crush!"? Admittedly, it's highly possible that he has a crush on her, but if that one little scene is all we're basing it on, it sounds kinda like the romance-obsessed society having its little influence again.
**pokes blurb.** It may become the beginning of a story for the future, perhaps something with Vivalene. She pokes her nose everywhere it doesn't belong.
