I updated Engel. ^^ I'm thinking I'd better not set a chapter limit on it, such as trying to make it 15 chapters like its predecessor. Engel is probably going to be shorter, though I guess it could turn around and be longer. XD;
I dug up an old tape that still has a DuckTales episode on it. I always liked it when I was younger, where Scrooge thinks he's going to die (and yes, they actually let him say "die" in the episode!) and Fenton convinces him to put his money in the bank to protect it from the Beagle Boys. Then a computer glitch eats it and Gyro has to send them into the computer after it. XD It didn't seem quite as fun this time around, mainly because I think I picked up on some OOC behavior from some of the characters. I certainly don't remember the nephews ever rolling around having mock temper tantrums in order to get what they want in any other episode. Then Fenton used the same gag later on. LOL.
I did like the jokes/references to other fandoms. They called the glitch "Moby Glitch" and Fenton declared that Danger was his middle name! Scrooge rolled his eyes and Fenton added, "Well, they called me Ishmael, but I lean towards the dramatic." And then when the glitch was destroyed, Fenton danced around and sang "Ding dong! The glitch is dead! Wicked glitch!" XD
Anyway, I know it was always a big debate in the DuckTales fandom, whether the show went downhill during the last episodes when Bubba and Fenton were introduced. I always said No, it didn't, but I wonder what I'd say if I watched all the episodes straight through. I do know I've really been enjoying some of the earlier episodes I've been watching. That's not to say that there weren't bad episodes earlier, though. One of the dumbest (other than the Civil War one) was when they went to ancient Greece and Scrooge was turned into a pig. O__o;
It did seem like there may have been a lot of OOCness in the later episodes, however. I have the last episode, which was recorded off Toon Disney along with a few others, and Glomgold acted kinda weird in that one. It was Attack of the Metal Munchers! or something like that, and Glomgold was cheering them on, hoping that they'd destroy Scrooge's money bin (and the money too, I guess). Now I know Glomgold wants to ruin Scrooge, but having him waving a flag around and jumping up and down while cheering the thingies on seemed a little OOC even for him, not to mention ridiculous.
I've been musing over what animes Leonhard might like. Definitely I think he'd venture into the magical girl genre, since it's generally on the fairy tale-ish side. XD; He'd probably like Pretéar (which I've never watched, BTW), and possibly Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon. I can see him having a crush on Ami Mizuno (Sailor Mercury), the computer whiz and chess master. Oh yeah, and I bet he'd really love Magic Knight Rayearth. It's really fantasy-ish and not the traditional magical girls' show at all. It's so philosophical and deep, and of course, it must be credited for Alexander. ^^ Nova is who Alexander was originally based on, and Eagle Vision has his voice. (I really wish I could make sound WAVs of the English dub Eagle!)
And I adore the ending theme Alone from Saiyuki. It fits the bikers so well! Actually, a lot of Saiyuki songs do. I have to make a wallpaper with that one.
