I updated Engel. ^^ I'm thinking I'd better not set a chapter limit on it, such as trying to make it 15 chapters like its predecessor. Engel is probably going to be shorter, though I guess it could turn around and be longer. XD;

I dug up an old tape that still has a DuckTales episode on it. I always liked it when I was younger, where Scrooge thinks he's going to die (and yes, they actually let him say "die" in the episode!) and Fenton convinces him to put his money in the bank to protect it from the Beagle Boys. Then a computer glitch eats it and Gyro has to send them into the computer after it. XD It didn't seem quite as fun this time around, mainly because I think I picked up on some OOC behavior from some of the characters. I certainly don't remember the nephews ever rolling around having mock temper tantrums in order to get what they want in any other episode. Then Fenton used the same gag later on. LOL.

I did like the jokes/references to other fandoms. They called the glitch "Moby Glitch" and Fenton declared that Danger was his middle name! Scrooge rolled his eyes and Fenton added, "Well, they called me Ishmael, but I lean towards the dramatic." And then when the glitch was destroyed, Fenton danced around and sang "Ding dong! The glitch is dead! Wicked glitch!" XD

Anyway, I know it was always a big debate in the DuckTales fandom, whether the show went downhill during the last episodes when Bubba and Fenton were introduced. I always said No, it didn't, but I wonder what I'd say if I watched all the episodes straight through. I do know I've really been enjoying some of the earlier episodes I've been watching. That's not to say that there weren't bad episodes earlier, though. One of the dumbest (other than the Civil War one) was when they went to ancient Greece and Scrooge was turned into a pig. O__o;

It did seem like there may have been a lot of OOCness in the later episodes, however. I have the last episode, which was recorded off Toon Disney along with a few others, and Glomgold acted kinda weird in that one. It was Attack of the Metal Munchers! or something like that, and Glomgold was cheering them on, hoping that they'd destroy Scrooge's money bin (and the money too, I guess). Now I know Glomgold wants to ruin Scrooge, but having him waving a flag around and jumping up and down while cheering the thingies on seemed a little OOC even for him, not to mention ridiculous.

I've been musing over what animes Leonhard might like. Definitely I think he'd venture into the magical girl genre, since it's generally on the fairy tale-ish side. XD; He'd probably like Pretéar (which I've never watched, BTW), and possibly Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon. I can see him having a crush on Ami Mizuno (Sailor Mercury), the computer whiz and chess master. Oh yeah, and I bet he'd really love Magic Knight Rayearth. It's really fantasy-ish and not the traditional magical girls' show at all. It's so philosophical and deep, and of course, it must be credited for Alexander. ^^ Nova is who Alexander was originally based on, and Eagle Vision has his voice. (I really wish I could make sound WAVs of the English dub Eagle!)

And I adore the ending theme Alone from Saiyuki. It fits the bikers so well! Actually, a lot of Saiyuki songs do. I have to make a wallpaper with that one.

Blah.

Lizzie was too tired to continue the RP, so she went to bed. And she fled so fast that I didn't have a chance to ask her if she wanted to think about playing Leonhard in the RPs.

I can't seem to find a good orchestral version of Ride of the Valkyries, either. The best versions I'm finding are just clips. The only full version I've found is a really cheap sounding recording. I want it to sound professional! X3

I hope Aubrie comes on soon. We haven't had much of a chance to RP these last few days.

The YGO episodes were cool! Poor Siegfried, though. It's so sad, really, how he wasn't able to use his holographic technology idea because Seto had the idea too, and used it. Siegfried must have worked hard on it.

And Leonhard, too. It's so sad for him, just wanting to be able to be useful to his brother. I loved in the flashback when he ran and hugged him and said that he didn't want to be alone anymore. Aww! I do wish they hadn't made the dumb comment about him being brainwashed, though. That wasn't true. Leonhard explained how it was, and saying he was brainwashed makes Siegfried look awful. Siegfried was sincere. He was driven by his rage and hatred and pain, but he wasn't trying to manipulate Leonhard or to hurt him. He honestly wanted their family to be on top so that they'd regain their honor, and he believed that Leonhard could help.

I ordered Sound Duel 4 because I wanted it to come before my birthday. XD It came today. **pets it.** Purty music. I love the Egyptian-sounding stuff, and the older tracks from other albums that were updated on this one. I wish they'd included the Valkyrie song, though. And I didn't get the pretty inserts that Aubrie found online. So I must find a color printer and print those out.

Dark blurb

Look at the icon. XD The screengrabs were taken by Donkeykongsong, and I've been pondering what to do with them. Then I came up with this. All hail the Von Schraiders! And the bikers . . . and the Ishtars . . . and the Kaibas. . . . And everyone else. X3

And this blurb is the counterpart to the blurb where Siegfried found Leonhard bleeding on the floor. ;__; Here, the opposite situation occurs. This blurb is much longer than the other one, though, and more detailed.

So Long and Goodnight )

Wow. That was longer than I thought. And it could end up being part of a fic. I like the way I wrote it, with all the detail.

It still fascinates me that I have such an obsession with death and that sort of thing. I remember as a kid I'd sometimes find stories involving death and I hated them because they made me sad, but something drew me to them anyway and I'd usually re-read them. My obsession with death obviously ties in with my love of hurt/comfort, as they often go hand in hand. It's hard to explain why that sort of thing intrigues me, but it does. I don't really think I'm that macabre of a person, though. My interest has its limits. For instance, I know I would never want to live in view of a cemetery. That would highly disturb me. XD; We passed a house for sale the other day that was kitty-cornered from the town cemetery, and I was thinking then about how unsettling it would be to live there.

The Quiz! )

The episodes on Saturday were fun, though the first one was obviously meant mostly for laughs. I really can't stand Vivian. -.-; Not only does she space out and go fangirly when she should be serious, but the stunt she pulled was pathetic. Leonhard was adorable as always, though! And in the second episode, Seto exposed Siegfried's true identity and they started their duel. But come on, we all know Seto is going to win. XD Even those who don't know the duel's end result should know that Seto would be the victor. It would mess up the plot if he lost. And this coming Saturday, Leonhard's identity is revealed! I'm looking forward to that.

Aubrie showed me the Japanese clip of when Siegfried summons his Valkyries and wipes out Weevil and Rex. It's so much cooler of a scene with the Valkyrie music! I wish the dub hadn't changed the music in that scene.

I found a song that kinda reminds me of Alexander. ^^ I know it doesn't fit him exactly, but I still think of him anyway, probably because of the "wings" stuff.

Broken Wings )

The chorus makes me think of him the most. And the first verse, kinda. But not the second. ^^; And sorry, I don't know what the Japanese part says. It took me forever to find any of the lyrics for the full version. Animelyrics.com doesn't have the song.

And Life After the Tears moves on! I'm halfway through chapter 11 now. I hope this writing streak can continue. XD; I was toying with the idea of Doom Reborn's leader's identity being exposed in this story, but I think it's too soon. What I'll probably have happen is that Dartz duels his ways through Paradius and finds Vivalene. Their duel ends in a draw and she escapes, telling him that he has to defeat her before he can meet the leader. Then Dartz releases the souls Doom Reborn has captured so far, and this includes Alexander. I also have to work in how everyone else helps stop the monster problem.

I'm so glad I finally determined what to do about the Doom Reborn leader. I don't want to reveal anything here, for those reading this who are reading the fic, as it'll be a shock and I want to keep it a surprise till then. I've toyed off and on with the idea for several months, and after finally posing it to Aubrie for our RP version and her liking it, I decided to use it. ^^ One of the main reasons that I haven't developed the leader before now is that I was always kinda considering this idea but not knowing if it would work. But it looks like it will!

Also, on Friday most of my order from ADVFilms.com came. Volume 9 of Saiyuki was on back-order. XD; But the rest is here, and they sent Generator Gawl as the free gift. I looked up some information about it and it sounds like I might like it. I figured I wanted to investigate it before watching, since I knew nothing about it. I still wonder why there's no record of them taking the money amount off my debit card, though. . . . I sent an email asking about it, but there's not a reply back yet.

List seven of your favorite songs of the moment in your journal and force seven other people to repeat this process.

1. Kleid aus Rosen -- Subway to Sally
2. Brothers from Fullmetal Alchemist
3. My Immortal -- Evanescence
4. End of All Hope -- Nightwish
5. Starfire -- Dragonforce
6. Somewhere -- Within Temptation
7. Dartz's Theme from Yu-Gi-Oh!

Seven people. . . . Hmm. Can't remember who all tagged who. XD; **tries to sort out who's left.**

Why in Heaven's name are the Valentine brothers so popular? **sweatdrop.** Oy. Luke is such an arrogant fool who vastly underestimated his opponent, and Jan is a vulgar, vile little **falls to incoherent mumblings.** Of course, Jan is the most popular too. -__- I wonder what that says about our society.

I also don't get why even The Major has fans. XD; He's completely sick. Honestly, the only one in Millennium I like at all is Schrodinger. I wish he'd get out of it, but I know that's highly unlikely, since he's probably been in it all his life and has been raised with its teachings and such. He seems to like The Major too, and I guess maybe that's The Major's only redeeming quality, that he treats Schrodinger well.

Aubrie has created two wonderful new communities, including one that shall affiliate with Children of Eve: Cards and Roses, the Grand Prix club! Muwahahaha. X3 Then there's Life is a Highway, which is for music and anime lovers. ^^ She's hoping for some more new members, so if anyone reading this is interested, you're all definitely welcome!

And now I bring you a present tense blurb. Lisa likes to write in the present tense, so I decided to try it out. I don't plan to actually write fics in the present tense, unless they're in first person, but it was an interesting experience. Be warned, the blurb is sad and dark. But then again, this is me we're talking about. XD; Why wouldn't it be sad and dark?

Oy. Earlier, Amelda-kun showed me an essay about Siegfried that was written by a cooing fangirl. Not only did the writer act arrogant and all-knowing, but she is one of the scary kinds of fangirls that lusts after the character. She drew a picture of Siegfried with his shirt open and talked about how she wished he would come to her and they could carry on like in a trashy romance novel. **sweatdrop.** She needs to grow up.

Also, she ignored one of the most important elements in a Siegfried essay: his relationship with Leonhard. How could she think she was doing a complete job without talking about his little brother? She actually seemed to focus mostly on Siegfried's bad side (his vanity, arrogance, and such). Now I'm sure not denying that he is vain and arrogant, but come on, that's not all he is. His brother is a sweet person and he helps to bring out more of Siegfried's good side.

I'm so excited for this morning! There'll be new shows all morning, thanks to the Fox Box beginning its new season. And to start and end my viewing of the shows will be the two new YGO episodes. Such fun. X3

And I have a Borders coupon to take 20% off my total purchase. It's a Students Only coupon, so I hope showing them my American School I.D. card is good enough proof to let me use it. ^^; I really want to buy Hellsing #4. I love all the manga so far, but I love #4 enough that I want to buy it now that I've read it online. I figure I can drop in at Borders on our way to the concert.

Lisa made that Alexander colorbar she's been talking about! ^__^ It looks really great! I put it up on my user info if anyone wants to see.

Muwahaha.

I think I like German rock. XD **pets the song that she's again got on repeat.** I'm already starting to pick up the phrases to sing along.

I showed the lyrics to Darcy earlier and she had fun translating them. ^^ Then I asked her about the pronounciation of "Leonhard" and she said it's probably like you'd pronounce "Leonard", but then she said that it's probably not that "Len-ard" pronounciation and instead is "Le-on-ard" or even "Lé-on-ard," with the first syllable being pronounced like the first syllable of Téa's name. She said the last pronounciation is the most likely. ^^ I hope that's correct, because that sounds so pretty. I always hated the "Len-ard" pronounciation, but I love the others. Ten to one the dub uses "Len-ard," though.

I worked a bit more on my Hellsing/Mayberry crossover. I like the conversation I wrote in between Alucard and Seras as they arrive. XD And now I've switched to a scene where Integral is pondering over the strange case and wondering if Iscariot is going to get involved. Mayberry will never be the same!

This week seemed to go by pretty quickly. ^^ I'm glad of that. Now Saturday is finally almost here! Fox's new season starts this weekend, and of course we get two new YGOs. X3

I don't think I'll be here on Saturday evening, unless I come on after, perhaps, ten my time. Dad has some free tickets to a classical music concert and I'll be going with him to that. I'd tell whose music they're playing, but I can't remember how to spell their names. XD;

EDIT: I finished reading volume 3 of Hellsing and now I'm almost done with volume 4. Schuldinger's kinda a cute little guy. XD; Those kitty ears look so soft and velvety. . . . That seemed kinda mean for them to shoot him in that one part. o.o He wasn't doing anything, and he's just a kid. Or at least, he physical looks like one. ^^; **figures looks are no guarantee of age.** What happens to him in later volumes, I wonder. . . .

Yaaaay.

Boy, this week has really dragged on forever. It seemed like two weeks instead of one.

I actually finished my Von Schraider fic, though! **flops over the keyboard.** As usual, it took all evening to do the final proofread. ^^; That probably has something to do with the fact that I was talking to a lot of people. There were seven at once, at one point. If anyone wants to read, it's http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2565343/1/ It's a lot more words than I thought it would be. XD; Wow. I tried to keep him as IC as possible, but judging from the end of the Grand Prix and his actions then, I think he might have changed somewhat, at least to realize that what he did, and especially involving his brother, was foolish. **nod.** He's still arrogant and vain at times, though. **laughs.** He wouldn't be Siegfried if he wasn't. And I didn't focus on his eccentricities much. I decided to leave those alone. ^^; He does have a rose occassionally, though.

The morning was great! I loved the YGO episodes, though I was disappointed that they didn't focus more on Leonhard's duel. I would have rather seen more of his duel than Joey's. XD; And Weevil and Rex have become such clichéd comedy relief since Doom Arc. I hate what the writers did to them, really.

Oh yeah! And The Batman was awesome. XD Joker kidnapped Yin and Hugo Strange hooked up a machine that would allow him to astral-project into Joker's mind to find out where she is. Bruce Wayne has a prototype of the machine, so he hooks it up, gets the frequency, and goes in as well (as The Batman, of course). It was a wild ride. XD; My favorite Batman episodes usually have Joker in them. The best line from this one was right after Batman entered Joker's mind. There were Jokers everywhere in his version of Gotham, and even the moon looked like him. LOL. The Moon-Joker cried, "Yegads! A Batman in my belfrey!" XD

I really love what they get away with on that show. This episode was really psychological and dark, and they even allowed there to be images of skulls!

I watched the Megaman episode I recorded from last week. Wow. It was so great. And sad, too. I love this Dark Protoman saga. And Annetta is a cute character. ^^ I like her a lot.

The Shaman King finale was rather disappointing. I was expecting more from it. I guess the major action happened in the episodes previous. And I think they cut some stuff. **had been looking forward to hearing the kid who follows Hao around talk after the battle's end, but it didn't happen.** Jessi-Chi saw the original episode and said he talked in it.

After I watched the second YGO episode, I recorded Megaman while finishing up the last Sociology exam. (I can't believe they asked me what I think should be done about the homeless. Ugh. I feel so unqualified to try to answer that!) Then I watched a clip or two from the second YGO episode the previous week. ^^; I love that one. Now if I could just remember to email Eric Stuart about Siegfried's voice actor, for Heaven's sake....

I want a Hellsing shirt! I went to Japanimation.com, but now they don't have the one with the Alucard silhouette anymore. XD; I really liked that one. I think *maybe* I could get away with the Alucard and Seras shirt. ^^ I don't think Dad would like pentagrams, nor Alucard baring his fangs, as I mentioned before. But the shirt with Alucard and Seras is cute. ^^ I love the kind of father/daughter relationship they seem to have.
ladybug_archive: (Default)
Just for fun. XD Okay, so it's really a Mary-Sue test, but it could apply both ways, couldn't it? And I love Alexander more than any of my female OCs anyway.

The Test! )

Well, that was interesting. I don't think it delved into all the aspects of a Mary-Sue/Gary-Stu, though.

I drew a h/c picture of Siegfried and Leonhard over the weekend. I posted a grayscale version because I love the texture I gave the hair. XD; I wish it was as easy to make realistic-looking hair for Valon.

I'm going to use Siegfried in an RP, soon, if I can sort out how I want to write for him. XD; I used him and Leonhard in chapter eight of LATT, which I posted this morning. ^__^

I've found that my favorite characters to write about are generally family units in some way, whether biological or adoptive: The Kaibas, the Ishtars, the Bikers, the Von Schraiders. . . . Duke is about the only exception, as he is a relative loner compared to the others. XD; And for some reason, the Wheelers never captured my interest as much as the other family units. Hmm. **wonders why this is.**
