Musings

I've been pondering over why Grand Prix and the manga Dungeon Dice arc appeal to me so much. I think one reason may be that the antagonists didn't have any magic to fight with and so they instead fought with technology and games, which is more plausible in real life. As much as I love the supernatural stuff, I like a little break from it now and then. XD; And I like how they show that even those fighting without magic can be formidable opponents. Plus, the overall feeling of the arcs kinda reminds me of how the RPs on that forum are. ^^

I finally got chapter 4 of Candy Clouds done! I'm proud of it. I inserted some little references to Norse mythology and such. When I was collecting names for Paper Flowers, I looked though these old cards I have from a game called Wyvern. It seems to be a mixture of mythological and fairy tale type things from all different cultures, so I picked out lots of the various names to use. Actually, I don't think it was originally in Paper Flowers, but in the Sonic the Hedgehog story that used the Geates' Talisman thing first. Then, when I wanted something for Paper Flowers, I decided to draw on the legends and characters that I'd already created before.

I have this strong urge to go write a blurb that I thought up a couple of weeks ago and which has come back to bug me again. XD;

EDIT, 5 HOURS LATER: I present a blurb! I'm surprised I actually managed to write all this in one sitting. I think I got the idea for it from watching the last episodes of Noa's Arc last week. **tries to refrain from writing K instead of C.**

Escape )

BTW, when addressing Siegfried, is one supposed to say "Mr. Von Schroider" or just "Mr. Schroider"? I've always been puzzled over that. XD; **looks in Darcy's general direction for an answer.**

Blurbness

The last two Grand Prix episodes aired earlier. ^^ I loved them, though I feel sad thinking of how Siegfried's anger and pain drove him pretty much to madness. Poor little Leonhard.... He's such an adorable kid, and so pure, to be able to just forgive Siegfried for everything. Of course, forgiveness isn't the same as trust, and I imagine it took a long time before Siegfried was able to regain Leonhard's trust. I have various assorted angsty ideas for the two of them, some for RPs and some for stories and some that will probably overlap, since I often test story ideas in RPs. Their relationship really intrigues me. It seems so different from any of the other sibling relationships on YuGiOh.

I'm also intrigued by the idea of what Joey's reaction would be if he saw Siegfried selflessly trying to protect Leonhard from something and getting hurt himself. Joey seems to hate Siegfried even more than Seto, and that's really saying something. XD

I also keep having this random fic idea of Alister sitting in a darkened corner, finally breaking down and crying and looking at the locket with his family's pictures in it, and then Valon finding him in there and them talking. I see Alister being closed off as usual and Valon getting frustrated and telling Alister that he wants to help him bear the pain. Alister would probably tell him that he couldn't, and perhaps Valon would yell and say that Alister wasn't the only one to lose a loved one, and that Valon knows what it's like too.

I was drawing a picture yesterday of Alister staring at the locket. That was sparked because I was irritated after reading a bizarre description of Alister that talked of him being self-absorbed, insecure, and hanging around in Raphael's shadow. WTH? Okay, granted, I think Alister's somewhat insecure, but he is not self-absorbed. Not even the dub makes it seem like that, even though they did give him a lot of attitude. And where does he ever linger in Raphael's shadow? While he's insecure, he's not that insecure, and he's not some pathetic puppy dog who follows Raphael around everywhere. He's a loner, just like Valon, and stays closed off from people.

Stacey sent me her Mother Earth CD. =3 I adore it so much. **purrs and pets it.** The songs are just awesome and deep. I do believe that Deceiver of Fools is becoming my favorite, as it is hers. In one sense, it really sounds like it's talking all about Yami Marik and how Marik must overcome him. And Dark Wings reminds me of Doom Arc Dartz in places. Within Temptation is such a great band. Since I'm having such trouble sending Deceiver of Fools to anyone, maybe I'll put it on Yousendit.

For the last several days I've been writing the second part to the blurb I posted the other day, where Siegfried was stabbed. For the next part, I wanted to detail his out of body experience, and I even brought in Brunnhilde for a cameo. XD; I've been toying with that idea for a while now as well, and it seemed to fit here. The blurb's in italics because it's Siegfried's remembrance of the experience while he's recovering.

The Quiz! )

The episodes on Saturday were fun, though the first one was obviously meant mostly for laughs. I really can't stand Vivian. -.-; Not only does she space out and go fangirly when she should be serious, but the stunt she pulled was pathetic. Leonhard was adorable as always, though! And in the second episode, Seto exposed Siegfried's true identity and they started their duel. But come on, we all know Seto is going to win. XD Even those who don't know the duel's end result should know that Seto would be the victor. It would mess up the plot if he lost. And this coming Saturday, Leonhard's identity is revealed! I'm looking forward to that.

Aubrie showed me the Japanese clip of when Siegfried summons his Valkyries and wipes out Weevil and Rex. It's so much cooler of a scene with the Valkyrie music! I wish the dub hadn't changed the music in that scene.

I found a song that kinda reminds me of Alexander. ^^ I know it doesn't fit him exactly, but I still think of him anyway, probably because of the "wings" stuff.

Broken Wings )

The chorus makes me think of him the most. And the first verse, kinda. But not the second. ^^; And sorry, I don't know what the Japanese part says. It took me forever to find any of the lyrics for the full version. Animelyrics.com doesn't have the song.

And Life After the Tears moves on! I'm halfway through chapter 11 now. I hope this writing streak can continue. XD; I was toying with the idea of Doom Reborn's leader's identity being exposed in this story, but I think it's too soon. What I'll probably have happen is that Dartz duels his ways through Paradius and finds Vivalene. Their duel ends in a draw and she escapes, telling him that he has to defeat her before he can meet the leader. Then Dartz releases the souls Doom Reborn has captured so far, and this includes Alexander. I also have to work in how everyone else helps stop the monster problem.

I'm so glad I finally determined what to do about the Doom Reborn leader. I don't want to reveal anything here, for those reading this who are reading the fic, as it'll be a shock and I want to keep it a surprise till then. I've toyed off and on with the idea for several months, and after finally posing it to Aubrie for our RP version and her liking it, I decided to use it. ^^ One of the main reasons that I haven't developed the leader before now is that I was always kinda considering this idea but not knowing if it would work. But it looks like it will!

Also, on Friday most of my order from ADVFilms.com came. Volume 9 of Saiyuki was on back-order. XD; But the rest is here, and they sent Generator Gawl as the free gift. I looked up some information about it and it sounds like I might like it. I figured I wanted to investigate it before watching, since I knew nothing about it. I still wonder why there's no record of them taking the money amount off my debit card, though. . . . I sent an email asking about it, but there's not a reply back yet.

XD I loved the episodes on Saturday, as usual. The best line was Joey's "I got knocked out of the tournament by a guy with pink hair!" He wailed it as if it was the worst thing that could possibly happen. Is it just me, or has Joey been really tense and on edge during the Grand Prix? He seemed to easily freak out during both of his duels, and I don't remember him acting like that before. I heard that in the original Japanese, Siegfried called Joey a clown a lot during their duel. Well, frankly, Joey has been acting like he deserves the title. **laughs.** He seriously needs to chill.

Leonhard has a very unique deck. ^^ Of course I knew about it before seeing the episode, but still it's nothing compared to seeing it in action. I think both of the Von Schraider brothers must be very comfortable with their sexuality. XD

I hate the original opening I wrote last week for my fic with Seras and Schrodinger. ^^; I just dashed it off really fast because I wanted to get a basic idea of how it started, but it looks horrible. I rewrote it completely earlier in my notebook and recently got done typing it up. It looks so much better now. The original scene had her finding him randomly in the water in a forest area. The revised version places them on a battlefield, at the end of a battle between Hellsing and Millennium.

I do wonder if it's plausible for Schro to be wounded, though. XD; But he seems to be a huge mystery. If we're deciding that he can be in two places at once and that's how he survived what happened in manga #4, then maybe if he was not in two places at once, he could really be injured? Anyway, that's what I'm theorizing here. I assume that there's really no "wrong" answer for this, since no one else seems to know, either. ^^;

**contemplates displaying the blurb.** I suppose it couldn't hurt. . . .

Battlefield Meeting )

I've finally seen some of the Hellsing anime now. ^^ I really like it, but the manga is tops. And Alucard's dub voice just doesn't suit him. I got attached to the Japanese voice just from the clips Aubrie sent me. XD; It just sounds so right for him. I watched the first episode in English and the other two in Japanese. I like Seras's and Integra's dub voices. I'm glad that for the OVA, they're bringing back Alucard's and Integra's Japanese voices!

. . . Dang, is it Integra or Integral? -.- It seems like both are correct.

I've also been writing an odd blurb where Siegfried is found strangled to death in the Kaiba Dome and Seto is the prime suspect. XD; It's just a random thing that I was thinking of on Saturday morning, and it will probably take place completely in the Kaiba Dome. I'm toying with the idea of some of Seto's employees being responsible. Of course, I'm not planning to keep the poor man dead. **smiles.** But whether he's dead or not, someone still tried to kill him. I don't think I'll bring him back until after the culprit is caught, however.

Here's what I have so far:

Who killed Von Schraider? )

I hate nausea. I absolutely hate it. I had a mild spell of it early in the day, but then it left after I took a nap before we left to investigate lots and such. It came back after we returned, and it came back with a vengeance. Lovely. So I dozed for a bit and it went away again, at least enough that I didn't feel so sickly. It hovered in the background while I ate an apple and then came downstairs, and now it finally seems to be receeding.

While we were out, I decided to use a coupon I'd acquired for Borders when I'd made my previous purchase there. The Borders in Provo stays open till eleven, which is great because we didn't get there till ten-thirty, after all was said and done. **envious.** Ours closes at nine. -__-; Anyway, I bought two volumes of YGO manga: five and six of Duelist Kingdom. Lots of Seto! Those volumes include his rooftop duel with Yugi and Seto's duel with Pegasus. Of course, they're slightly different from the anime, but I love them anyway. ^^ It feels good to reminisce about some of the most intense moments of Duelist Kingdom. Those episodes with Seto were among the first I ever recorded.

I was also rewatching the first two Grand Prix episodes the other day, and I noticed something. When Siegfried clicks the mouse button, he clicks the right one instead of the left one. Therefore, he must be either ambidextrous or left-handed.

I've always been known for noticing little things like that in shows. XD;

**pets the icon.** That song just goes with Doom arc Dartz so well! I wanted that exact screengrab to make the icon, so I was glad that yugioh.de had it. ^^

And now for a blurb. XD Here we have one for a future scene in Life After the Tears, with a meeting of three YGO businessmen. Dartz would be there, only he has other things to tend to at the moment, and he's not established as the CEO of Paradius again, at this point. First he has to get the company away from Doom Reborn. X3 Anyway . . .

Oh wow. . . . Siegfried is THE AWESOME. X3 I loved what he did to Weevil and Rex! They deserved it after becoming cheap, cliché, and flat comedy relief! And his duel with Joey is coming along so well. And that flashback Seto had. . . . He's finally starting to figure it out! I'm already psyched for next Saturday. The episodes were so great!

It looks like YGO really is moving to 10:30. Ugh. I wish it wasn't. I hope that isn't a foolish move on the part of Kids WB.

The premiere of Winx Club was today, too. I love the new girl, Aisha/Layla. She's so cool and spunky while being intelligent. I think she may become my favorite of the Winx girls. She's just what the show needed! I hope they won't ruin her the way they ruined Tecna when they set her up with Timmy.

Sonic X looks like it'll be really interesting. This new season is supposed to be really dark.

TMNT started off good, which I am glad of, since I was somewhat annoyed by the way they've been advertising it. Leo's really been affected by everything they've come through, it looks like.

The concert was really awesome. They played Liszt and Rachmanonoff, and the latter piece was really, really great. There were some parts that just sounded so hauntingly beautiful and melancholy. . . . Wow, it was so cool. I loved it. I loved the whole atmosphere, too. Everything was so classy. Something about it all just made me feel right at home.

I did get to buy Hellsing #4 at Borders. And Megaman #8, too! The plot is getting so intense. Megaman DS has been introduced, and he's so much like Yami Marik, right down to how he was created!

This has been a very good day indeed.

Oy. Earlier, Amelda-kun showed me an essay about Siegfried that was written by a cooing fangirl. Not only did the writer act arrogant and all-knowing, but she is one of the scary kinds of fangirls that lusts after the character. She drew a picture of Siegfried with his shirt open and talked about how she wished he would come to her and they could carry on like in a trashy romance novel. **sweatdrop.** She needs to grow up.

Also, she ignored one of the most important elements in a Siegfried essay: his relationship with Leonhard. How could she think she was doing a complete job without talking about his little brother? She actually seemed to focus mostly on Siegfried's bad side (his vanity, arrogance, and such). Now I'm sure not denying that he is vain and arrogant, but come on, that's not all he is. His brother is a sweet person and he helps to bring out more of Siegfried's good side.

I'm so excited for this morning! There'll be new shows all morning, thanks to the Fox Box beginning its new season. And to start and end my viewing of the shows will be the two new YGO episodes. Such fun. X3

And I have a Borders coupon to take 20% off my total purchase. It's a Students Only coupon, so I hope showing them my American School I.D. card is good enough proof to let me use it. ^^; I really want to buy Hellsing #4. I love all the manga so far, but I love #4 enough that I want to buy it now that I've read it online. I figure I can drop in at Borders on our way to the concert.

Lisa made that Alexander colorbar she's been talking about! ^__^ It looks really great! I put it up on my user info if anyone wants to see.

Muwahaha.

I think I like German rock. XD **pets the song that she's again got on repeat.** I'm already starting to pick up the phrases to sing along.

I showed the lyrics to Darcy earlier and she had fun translating them. ^^ Then I asked her about the pronounciation of "Leonhard" and she said it's probably like you'd pronounce "Leonard", but then she said that it's probably not that "Len-ard" pronounciation and instead is "Le-on-ard" or even "Lé-on-ard," with the first syllable being pronounced like the first syllable of Téa's name. She said the last pronounciation is the most likely. ^^ I hope that's correct, because that sounds so pretty. I always hated the "Len-ard" pronounciation, but I love the others. Ten to one the dub uses "Len-ard," though.

I worked a bit more on my Hellsing/Mayberry crossover. I like the conversation I wrote in between Alucard and Seras as they arrive. XD And now I've switched to a scene where Integral is pondering over the strange case and wondering if Iscariot is going to get involved. Mayberry will never be the same!

This week seemed to go by pretty quickly. ^^ I'm glad of that. Now Saturday is finally almost here! Fox's new season starts this weekend, and of course we get two new YGOs. X3

I don't think I'll be here on Saturday evening, unless I come on after, perhaps, ten my time. Dad has some free tickets to a classical music concert and I'll be going with him to that. I'd tell whose music they're playing, but I can't remember how to spell their names. XD;

EDIT: I finished reading volume 3 of Hellsing and now I'm almost done with volume 4. Schuldinger's kinda a cute little guy. XD; Those kitty ears look so soft and velvety. . . . That seemed kinda mean for them to shoot him in that one part. o.o He wasn't doing anything, and he's just a kid. Or at least, he physical looks like one. ^^; **figures looks are no guarantee of age.** What happens to him in later volumes, I wonder. . . .

Woooow!

http://4kids.tv/shows/videoplayer.php?preview=backtoduel Look what Stacey found! A preview for Pharaoh's Memories! X3 It looks so AWESOME! ... But I think Bakura and Yami B have a new VA. o.o Listen for yourselves and tell me what you think.

I am so psyched up for YGO, as always. Pharaoh's Memories arc is going to be great! And this Saturday we get two new episodes and Joey starts his next duel in the second one. I am highly anxious for that, because of his opponent! **smiles.**

Oh yeah, and http://www.yu-jyo.net now has the summary for #186 up, along with several screengrabs of what was cut out of the English version. XD I have to admit, I rather enjoyed them. **smirk.** And if anyone goes to look, notice the maid's expression in the one pic. Does she look irritated or what? **wonders if she doesn't like Siegfried.**

I went curiously looking for Hellsing figures on eBay. When I saw what the packaging looks like, I suddenly realized that I've seen those in Media Play before. XD I distinctly remember going, "Hellsing? What the heck is that? Why is the packaging shaped like a coffin?!"

Yaaaay.

Boy, this week has really dragged on forever. It seemed like two weeks instead of one.

I actually finished my Von Schraider fic, though! **flops over the keyboard.** As usual, it took all evening to do the final proofread. ^^; That probably has something to do with the fact that I was talking to a lot of people. There were seven at once, at one point. If anyone wants to read, it's http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2565343/1/ It's a lot more words than I thought it would be. XD; Wow. I tried to keep him as IC as possible, but judging from the end of the Grand Prix and his actions then, I think he might have changed somewhat, at least to realize that what he did, and especially involving his brother, was foolish. **nod.** He's still arrogant and vain at times, though. **laughs.** He wouldn't be Siegfried if he wasn't. And I didn't focus on his eccentricities much. I decided to leave those alone. ^^; He does have a rose occassionally, though.

The morning was great! I loved the YGO episodes, though I was disappointed that they didn't focus more on Leonhard's duel. I would have rather seen more of his duel than Joey's. XD; And Weevil and Rex have become such clichéd comedy relief since Doom Arc. I hate what the writers did to them, really.

Oh yeah! And The Batman was awesome. XD Joker kidnapped Yin and Hugo Strange hooked up a machine that would allow him to astral-project into Joker's mind to find out where she is. Bruce Wayne has a prototype of the machine, so he hooks it up, gets the frequency, and goes in as well (as The Batman, of course). It was a wild ride. XD; My favorite Batman episodes usually have Joker in them. The best line from this one was right after Batman entered Joker's mind. There were Jokers everywhere in his version of Gotham, and even the moon looked like him. LOL. The Moon-Joker cried, "Yegads! A Batman in my belfrey!" XD

I really love what they get away with on that show. This episode was really psychological and dark, and they even allowed there to be images of skulls!

I watched the Megaman episode I recorded from last week. Wow. It was so great. And sad, too. I love this Dark Protoman saga. And Annetta is a cute character. ^^ I like her a lot.

The Shaman King finale was rather disappointing. I was expecting more from it. I guess the major action happened in the episodes previous. And I think they cut some stuff. **had been looking forward to hearing the kid who follows Hao around talk after the battle's end, but it didn't happen.** Jessi-Chi saw the original episode and said he talked in it.

After I watched the second YGO episode, I recorded Megaman while finishing up the last Sociology exam. (I can't believe they asked me what I think should be done about the homeless. Ugh. I feel so unqualified to try to answer that!) Then I watched a clip or two from the second YGO episode the previous week. ^^; I love that one. Now if I could just remember to email Eric Stuart about Siegfried's voice actor, for Heaven's sake....

I want a Hellsing shirt! I went to Japanimation.com, but now they don't have the one with the Alucard silhouette anymore. XD; I really liked that one. I think *maybe* I could get away with the Alucard and Seras shirt. ^^ I don't think Dad would like pentagrams, nor Alucard baring his fangs, as I mentioned before. But the shirt with Alucard and Seras is cute. ^^ I love the kind of father/daughter relationship they seem to have.
ladybug_archive: (Default)
Okay, I went to Yu-Jyo because they have the summary for #185 up now. I just remembered a day or two ago that Siegfried is sometimes called "Jeek/Jeeks/Jik" and it says on #185 that the butler calls him that. My question is, Where did that come from? XD; His name is Siegfried in both versions. Is "Jik" a nickname or something? Darcy was getting a kick out of it. XD **completely confused now.** I should have asked Amelda-kun about that when she was on. . . .

Also, his last name was given as Schroider instead of Schraider. I've heard both, but if one's incorrect, how did that get started? XD;

And http://www.advfilms.com is having a huge anime sale through the 7th! Many of the things are around $6.00. @__@ They have several Saiyuki volumes for that, and I'm definitely getting a couple! I'll consider it an early birthday present to myself. ^^; I think I want 9, 10, and maybe 12 out of the ones on sale.

I think I'm finally starting to develope my opinion on Dartz. For a long time I've had that love-hate relationship with him and I haven't known what to think. But I'm becoming so fond of him after watching him interact with Alexander. I was listening to Dartz's Theme in the morning and really thinking about how sad and melancholy it sounds. He really is a tragic character, any way you look at it. He ruled over the people of Atlantis and knew nothing of the corruption that could enter in, until it did. He had to kill his own wife after she turned into a monster, because if he hadn't, she might have attacked and killed others, even perhaps the rest of the family. Obviously he couldn't have been in his right mind during Doom, whether the Orichalcos was completely controlling him or just influencing him. After ten thousand years of either option, naturally he would have gone mad. To do what he wanted to do was complete insanity. I don't know if he could ever really recover from that disaster, but I like him better when he's stable rather than schizophrenic. I think that may be another reason why I've stalled on Candy Clouds. He's in Life After the Tears, too, but he's of sound mind in it. XD;

List 20 of your current favorite fictional character pairings (het, slash, canon or otherwise) in no particular order and then tag four people to do the same.

Twenty?! Oh dear, how can I possibly think of twenty? XD;

1. AlucardXIntegra (Hellsing)
2. HikaruXLantis (Magic Knight Rayearth)
3. SakuraXLi (Cardcaptor Sakura)
4. IchigoXMasaya (Tokyo Mew Mew)
5. IchigoXRyou (Tokyo Mew Mew)
6. PegasusXCecelia (Yu-Gi-Oh!)
EDIT: Remembered a couple more
7. HeeroXRelena (Gundam Wing)
8. UsagiXMamoru (Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon)
9. MollyXNeflyte (Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon) Yeah, I know this one couldn't happen because Molly's too young and poor Neflyte is now, well, dead, but I still have a fondness for it. XD;

As for tagging, hmm, dunno. ^^; **isn't sure how many of her friends are even into pairings at all.** But hey, if I can come up with even a few, surely some of the others can! **laughs.**

Integral_sama07
Dai_Atlas
Amanechan
Deathdesu

In other news, Alexander has been mistaken for a female! **sweatdrop.** I really don't understand how that happened. His body is obviously that of a male's, and in all the picture descriptions I say he's male! I also explain why he cuddles people, so that no one will mistake him for what he's not. Doesn't anyone even READ the picture descriptions? They exist so people can read them! **is slightly annoyed if people don't bother to read them before drawing assumptions.**

And I continue to write my Von Schraider short story. I hope I correctly understood about their father. I was reading the summaries at Janime's and she said that he was no longer able to run the company and that he became an incompetent. I took it to mean that he went crazy because he was so obsessed with bettering the Kaibas. I also threw in that he committed suicide because he was disgusted that Siegfried couldn't bring the company out of the Kaibas' shadow, either. It's haunted Siegfried since then and it's part of the reason why he was so driven to destroy KaibaCorp during the Grand Prix. He blames himself for his father's suicide because he wasn't good enough to do what the man wanted, or at least, that's what he thinks.
ladybug_archive: (Default)
Just for fun. XD Okay, so it's really a Mary-Sue test, but it could apply both ways, couldn't it? And I love Alexander more than any of my female OCs anyway.

The Test! )

Well, that was interesting. I don't think it delved into all the aspects of a Mary-Sue/Gary-Stu, though.

I drew a h/c picture of Siegfried and Leonhard over the weekend. I posted a grayscale version because I love the texture I gave the hair. XD; I wish it was as easy to make realistic-looking hair for Valon.

I'm going to use Siegfried in an RP, soon, if I can sort out how I want to write for him. XD; I used him and Leonhard in chapter eight of LATT, which I posted this morning. ^__^

I've found that my favorite characters to write about are generally family units in some way, whether biological or adoptive: The Kaibas, the Ishtars, the Bikers, the Von Schraiders. . . . Duke is about the only exception, as he is a relative loner compared to the others. XD; And for some reason, the Wheelers never captured my interest as much as the other family units. Hmm. **wonders why this is.**
ladybug_archive: (Default)
Today's episodes were awesome. And I am very fascinated by Siegfried. XD; They gave him a German accent, too, like Amelda-kun wanted! I won't be calling him by his dub name, though. Ziegfried? What the heck? If they're gonna keep it that close, why not use the S? I don't like the name Ziegfried too much. It makes me think of Ziegfield or whatever that guy's name is with the Follies.

I think I'll really enjoy this mini-arc. ^___^ And I'm afraid I already want to write a story about Siegfried. -___-; That's a new record. I had Amelda-kun tell me some stuff about him, both because I wanted to know to satisfy my own curiosity and because it will help for a story.

I love my icon. X3 **pets it.** Made it myself.

The new Batman episode was great too. I was annoyed when I saw the preview for next season, though. I don't want him to get a sidekick. And why Batgirl instead of Robin? In any case, he was doing just fine without a sidekick and I wish the show would have stayed that way. That made it really unique.

I saw the preview for the new G.I. Joe show on Fox. Eh. . . . Didn't like it much, though the animation was gorgeous. The characters kinda left something to be desired. And the main girl delivered a line really flat when it should have sounded intense and worried. And they had one guy eating bugs. That's just dumb. -.-; He never opened his eyes either---an anime cliché.

I must admit, I am slightly curious about this Loonatics show. And if it's running against Bratz, as Matt said, well, I'll definitely give it a try, at least. I am not watching that Bratz pre-teen crap. I could barely stand watching five minutes of it. And if the coyote gets some respect on Loonatics, that alone would probably make me happy enough to watch the durn thing.

What I've always wondered is why did that female rabbit join the Looney Tunes gang anyway? I think she was first in Space Jam, which I never watched. But Looney Tunes managed fine without a female rabbit before, so why did they suddenly decide to create one? They might as well make female counterparts for everyone, then.

Speaking of that . . . why was Petunia never in the cartoons? She only seems to be in the books, which I like better than the cartoons, incidentally.

There's been a big debate at the LJ Sherlock Holmes community I'm in, as to whether Holmes is straight, gay, or asexual. This one person keeps pushing his/her own views and now made a post about how everything was "de-sexualized" in the past and that now everything's being "sexualized" because that's realistic. Here, look for yourselves: http://www.livejournal.com/community/221b_bakerst/147787.html Notice how this person replied to my post. He/she claims that I don't want to debate and ponder, but this person did not offer anything in response to what I said, nor did he/she reply to anyone else who has the same views. Down at the bottom of the topic, he/she made a post stressing his/her own views again. I have to say that that person is the one who won't debate. He/she just wants to impress his/her own views on the others. We replied to his/her post with our views, and so we're obviously willing to talk on the subject, but this person doesn't seem to want to talk except to stress his/her own viewpoint.

What annoys me the most is how he/she apparently thinks that everyone is perverted and wants to get in bed together. That remark at the end of the post about chastity really irritated me. WTH? Not everyone wants to find a romantic partner, nor does everyone lust after someone else and want to leap in bed with them. There's still some happy virgins around. -___-; I don't think his/her post is fair, nor is it realistic. There has to be a balance, as I said in my reply. Some people are one way, and some are another. That person seems to think that his/her view on life is what IS.

In other news, we did go out and looked at Media Play and at the news Taylorsville Super Wal-Mart across the street from it (which still seems to have as good a selection as the regular one). At Media Play I bought the first volume of the Pharaoh's Memories manga. I don't really like the manga version of Duelist Kingdom, but I know that the anime really rushed the Egyptian arc, so I wanted to see the manga of it. Lots of Yami B. X3

Bobosa (or is it Bobasa?) seems like a nice guy, but is anyone besides me creeped out by his chest and stomach? XD; How is such a thing even possible? **generally looks at such things from a logical point of view, even when she knows that sometimes logic simply can't apply.**

New YGO episodes begin in two hours for me. **very excited.** I wonder if they'll keep the scene with Siegfried in the bathtub. I hope they give him a German accent, like Amelda-kun wants. ^^ Originally I wasn't that interested in the Grand Prix arc. Amelda-kun helped me get more interested by telling me about Siegfried.

Oh yes! And I found out that there is a Sakura Wars TV show! I knew I thought there was! Maybe the TV show does what the OVA couldn't. The TV show has six volumes.

Hmmm

The news is official! New YGO episodes start next week, as advertised this morning on KidsWB! It looks like there'll be one starting off the block and then another at its usual time, both new. I just hope that they're dubbing Pharaoh's Memories as well as Grand Prix. They're calling this last season Grand Championship, and during the trailer, I only saw Grand Prix clips. . . .

I also saw previews for the talking fruit show. O__o That thing looks scary. Seriously, I think it disturbs me more, in its own way, then volume one of the Hellsing manga. XD;

I got feeling somewhat sad and nostalgic after watching the trailer announcing the final season of YGO, so for some of the time I watched a couple of random Noa's Arc episodes. I think, if I can get the time, I'd like to start reviewing a lot of my favorite YGO episodes, starting with some of the really intense Duelist Kingdom ones.

After watching those episodes, I happened to see the last five minutes or so of the Bratz show's preview. **winces.** So much pre-teen nonsense. I don't think I'll be able to stomach that show. XD; I can't stand most stuff that's aimed at pre-teen girls.

Not to mention there was a really dumb Skechers commercial involving EATING the shoes and then having them materialize on the kids' feet. WTH? **sweatdrops.**

And I've been working more on chapter seven of LATT! It's coming along well. I hope it will continue to do so.

**looks at a cool fedora on eBay.** This one really does almost look right. It goes off auction right away, though, and I don't know that I want to buy something just yet.

And gaaah . . . I have to get a new mouse! This one has been driving me crazy for days! I can barely get the curser to move unless I repeatedly roll the ball on the mat. Not even cleaning it helped.
