I am going out of my mind! I must get to a bookstore! XD;

Actually, I think I'll be getting to one today. Not sure if I'll be on or not....

And I had another dream that was worth something! This one has story possibilities. It involved the Monkees being captured and tortured by Oraculo. @__@; And Tony and his gang were working with him, for some bizarre reason. I don't think Oraculo would abduct and torture the Monkees, so if I did the story I would have to make the villain someone else, such as the mad scientist from I Was a Teenage Monster. And as for the angle with Tony and the others, I don't think they'd bother. If they were around, they'd have to have been brainwashed or something. In any case, that will be one strange and wacky Monkees dramedy, if I write it. XD;

I've also had the idea of doing a fic where Peter has amnesia. I got intrigued by the idea during the few minutes in The Case of the Missing Monkee when he didn't remember anyone. He acted awfully strange towards Micky, especially. "Take your hands off me! Do you know who I am? ... Wait, who am I?" And then when they gathered around him to try to scare him into remembering, he gave Micky and only Micky a very odd look. I just got the feeling that amnesiac Peter did not like Micky. XD; And that has definite story possibilities!

The actor Micky, BTW, was in that recent Love Bug TV movie that they made about nine years ago. For once I'm actually glad I kept the thing! I wanted to get rid of it, but Mom said that she had the feeling that I'd want it someday. So I ran through it earlier to see Micky's parts. XD He played a guy who acted like a jerk at first, but then showed that he wasn't such a bad guy. I love characters like that.

I also finally made lists of my top ten favorite Monkees episodes in each season.

The Best of the Best! )

Can you tell I'm an obsessed fangirl, especially over Micky? XD; I think it might be even worse this time around than it was when I was thirteen and fourteen.

I also have to admit that I think I'm crushing on Tony.... I tend to get overly fascinated by certain one-shot characters in different fandoms, and I think I like him because of his mysterious past as a police officer, and because he can just get so many darn funny expressions! This is him in my icon, demonstrating how unimpressed he is over the fact that Mike and Peter are going to try to blow up the fireplace. XD (And he had a right to be unimpressed.... Mike blew up the piano instead. XD Dang, after he blew up the desk instead of the safe in Monkees a La Carte, they should have learned their lesson and kept him away from explosives!)

Blurbs

I actually had another dream that was useful! It was so sad, but I loved it all the same and I wanted to see if I could get a blurb out of it, so I tried and I came up with this:

Pull the Trigger )

And I've been debating on posting this for a while, but I finally have decided that I will. XD; It's a Monkees blurb from that fic I was talking about. It's a later scene, and incidentally, I've since started writing it from the beginning and it's coming along great. This scene here goes back and forth between seriousness and humor, as some of the greatest Monkees episodes (The Devil and Peter Tork) did. It's been a long time since I've written for them, but it felt natural to slip back into it. ^^ It also feels good to write for them with more detail than I used to.

Return of Baby Face )

And I remembered another reason why I'm not extremely fond of season 2. It seemed that sometimes Micky's and Peter's roles reversed and they tried to make Micky the dummy while Peter would rag on him. XD; That just seems wrong for their characters. I know that Peter was getting tired of playing the dummy character, and I don't blame him, but I don't like having his character insulting Micky like he did in episodes such as The Monkees Watch Their Feet and The Monkey's Paw. It just seems OOC. I can't imagine season 1 Peter doing that. And I also can't imagine Micky being as stupid as they tried to make him seem sometimes in season 2. ("They won't learn much from him. He doesn't know much.") He seemed quite intelligent in season 1.

I finally got a picture of Apollo and Veleda drawn. ^^ I also threw in Damen, a mischievous, preteen doppelganger who idolizes Apollo. I just came up with his character on Saturday evening. XD

ADVfilms.com is having another anime sale. ^^ I decided to buy Saiyuki volumes 7 and 8, plus another one of Sakura Wars. They're still out of 1 and 2, and I have 3, so I got 4.

... I just found out that my grandma died today. I don't know how I feel about that. I'm sad to lose her, but I'm glad that she's finally out of her misery. She's been saying for some time now that she wished she could die.

It looks like this will be the last night spent in this house where there's some sense of normalicy. My brother's coming over tomorrow and helping us move out the big stuff, so it's going to be a big and busy day. I'll try to get the computer set up as soon as possible, as well as the TV/VCR/DVD player. XD I'll put up the computer before I do anything else in my room.

And I must say, I adore The Devil and Peter Tork! Doing a Faust-type episode was a stroke of brilliance, and the Monkees pulled it off without going OOC. I think that episode had just the right amount of drama to keep the show IC, and I love the part where they call the Devil to the witness stand and Davy asks him to raise his right hand and lay his left hand on the Bible. The Devil's response? "You must be joking." Maybe I'll watch it again tonight. XD

The best season 2 episodes seem to be the ones that were left over from season 1. The Devil and Peter Tork is one of those, and there's nine others, I think. The Monkees Blow Their Minds is another, and It's a Nice Place to Visit, which, BTW, was another stroke of Monkee brilliance. XD They got in trouble in Mexico because Davy fell in love with a local bandit's girlfriend, so the bandits kidnapped him and the other three Monkees disguised themselves as bandits to come rescue him. Then, after their ruse was discovered, the lead bandit challenged Micky to a duel. LOL.

... I think the way you can tell if a season 2 episode is left over from season 1 is that Micky's hair will be wavyish and fluffy instead of curly. XD

I finally finished chapter 10 of Candy Clouds. I'm very proud of it. ^^ Hopefully I'll get a chance to work on chapter 11 before too long. Getting everything moved in will take a lot of time, though I do plan to find time to talk to people. ^^ And I need to find out the dimensions of my Doom poster so I can frame it. XD I also bought a B&W Monkees picture off eBay to hang up.

Probably won't be on later. We need to finish taking care of the new house so that we can finish packing and get outta here. XD; We're rushing because we need to get this house fixed up after we move and try to hurry and sell it before we have double payments.

Dad bought some huge 30-gallon plastic bags and I've been using them to put my plushies in. I'm just about done now, and the only ones remaining are a few that I've left out until the day we actually move out there. My YGO plushes are among those, but I'm not planning to put them in a bag like that at all. They'll be separate from the others. Since they're homemade, and fashioned in the Japanese UFO style, I'm extra-protective of them and I don't want them in a situation where they could end up badly jostled and such. XD;

Another of the plushies remaining is a Calico kitty that my aunt gave me for Christmas. ^^ I still can't decide on a name for her. XD; I've been debating on Jillian/Gillian, Scully, and Scarlet, for some unknown reason. I've been addressing the cat by all three of those names.

And I found that this 3-foot doll I have is losing her hair. .__.; Literally. It's falling out in chunks, but it looks like the roots are still in the scalp. I'm so confused. Maybe it's because she's been leaning on a wall that has the cold garage on the other side? At any rate, I'm sure my other old dolls don't have this problem. I'm rather ticked about it, though, and I know Mom won't be happy either. She loves my dolls and stuffed animals about as much as I do. XD I've been checking doll repair websites and trying to find out how much it would cost to reroot the hair, but I can't find any price estimates at all. -.-; For right now I tied a handkerchief on her head to try to keep the hair there while I try to figure out what to do.

Over the weekend I've been plotting more with my doppelgangers. I love them so much! Now I've been pondering over the Council's assassin Apollo and his twin sister Veleda. They both have raven hair, though Apollo's is straight and probably about to his shoulders while Veleda's is long and flowing and slightly wavy. Veleda is on the Doppelganger Senate and has whitish-blue feathered wings, and she's against the Council, which has set her at odds with her brother. Apollo, BTW, has one white wing and one black wing, both feathered. I imagine Apollo is the sort of rebel bishounen that fangirls usually coo over. XD; I'm trying to further develope his character and figure out why he's in support of the Council. I'll probably come up with something before too long.

I don't think I've ever been as excited about my OCs as I am about these doppelgangers. They really feel like something that's mine that I can freely develope and someday write original fiction about. And since doppelgangers are a phenomena that is usually ignored in favor of other supernatural creatures, there's not really anything that I have to conform to. All I have to do, really, is bring in the angle of doppelgangers causing chaos and mayhem and appearing to their charges shortly before the charges' deaths. And that angle is already covered where the bad doppelgangers are concerned.

My Monkee boxsets came on Friday, along with the Headquarters album I ordered from Best Buy. ^^ I think that's probably their best album. You can really hear in the songs how much fun they were having then.

I watched several season 1 episodes on early Saturday morning, and then later on I watched some of season 2, and my opinion that season 1 is superior was enforced all the more. XD; Season 2 just doesn't have the same magic and fun, in general. I still love The Monkees Blow Their Minds, though, and by the way, I discovered that the Screen Gems version cut out about five minutes of the episode! .___. I have to get to work further revising my novelization with those other minutes of footage.

These are the episodes I watched:

--Episode #25: Alias Micky Dolenz (Classic! Absolutely classic! And a Micky-centric episode. XD I was in Heaven. **purrs.**)
--Episode #28: Monkees On the Line (More brilliance. Not quite as good as I expected from the summary, but nearly! The scenes with the bed in the wall were great. XD And I loved Mike and Micky trying to find the girl who was threatening to commit suicide.)
--Episode #31: Monkees at the Movies (My least favorite of these three, but still a good Monkees romp. But I don't think they focused enough on Davy and on how stardom was going to his head.)
--Episode #57: The Monkees Blow Their Minds (As always, my favorite, and even more so now that I've seen the missing scenes.)
--Episode #49: The Monkees Watch Their Feet (Bizarre. XD The narrator was priceless, and the plotline was promising. I can tell Micky had fun playing his robot clone, but I think there should have also been scenes with the real Micky being interrogated. The way it was, I think the Micky character got gypped and upstaged by his clone! Also, it just wasn't the same with Mike only at the beginning.)
--Episode #4... I forgot. XD; But it was The Christmas Show. It was okay, and cute, but not as good as it could have been. And I think the boy's fantasy sequence lasted too long.
--Episode #41: The Card-Carrying Red Shoes (Another Mike-less episode, so it felt like something was gravely missing. But there were still funny scenes, and Chicken Lake was hilarious. XD Overall, though, it wasn't the Monkees' best spy episode. That honor belongs to episodes #5 and #26.)
--Episode #43: A Coffin Too Frequent (This was one of the first episodes I watched, but I hadn't been able to get it recorded, so I haven't seen it for six years. I loved it then and it's still a lot of fun now, though I find I like it a bit less this time around. I kinda wonder if I originally remembered it so sweetly because it was the first Monkees episode I saw with hurt/comfort (Micky got knocked out when the lady hit him with her umbrella). XD; Knowing me, it's highly possible.)

And now I must flee. XD I'm going to watch the angsty The Devil and Peter Tork.

Oh wow!

http://photobucket.com/albums/v142/PDUTogepi/Capsule/ There is a new YGO filler arc, animated by the artists who did the Pyramid of Light movie and apparently taking place between Battle City and Pharaoh's Memories (wide time range, I know). It's called Capsule Monsters, so I assume it has something to do with the game. I'm terribly excited at the prospect of new YGO with the original characters. ^^ Right now it's airing in Ireland, and it has the U.S. dub cast. I wonder if/when we'll get it here?

And The Case of the Missing Monkee is absolutely hilarious. XD That's another priceless Monkees gem. Ladyamberjo knows how to pick good episodes! I'm going to show that one to Mom. I always show her my favorite episodes. She's getting hooked on the show Monk, too.

Mom and I have been emptying a huge box of all its junk so that we can use it for packing. I am such a pack rat. XD; I have saved just about everything, including boxes from plushies. Oy. So I cut the back panels off of my favorite boxes and shall throw the rest away. We certainly don't have room to be dragging stuff like that with us. The house is wonderfully big compared to this one, but we need all the space it has in order to have stuff that we actually use/need/want.

On Saturday night I was able to receive my daily fright due to someone's colorbar. **laugh.** It read as follows: "Herr Siegfried is a pink-haired, German sex machine." Errr ... okay. Nice to see you have your mind in the gutter, madam. XD; Siegfried's little fun with throwing his rose to the audience in episode #186 makes me think he's not above flirting at times, but that's a far cry from being a "sex machine." .__.; Seriously, he's probably a virgin. He's too busy obsessing over making his company better than KaibaCorp to bother with jumping in bed with people.

I loved the YGO episode! =3 I know the dub altered some things here and there, but I couldn't see as how they changed too much, and it really didn't bother me anyway. And it sounded like Ted Lewis is still doing Bakura and Yami B, even though it didn't sound like him in that preview I saw before. Yay for Ted Lewis! ^^ Aubrie put up the Japanese raw version, both in a downloadable size by itself and also in three segments, but I'm having trouble getting MegaUpload to cooperate with me. It keeps freezing during the 45 second wait. And if it does get through it, it sticks an ad over the button I need to click, and there's no way to get rid of it. -__-; (Yes, I've looked for something to use to close out the ad window.) I'm afraid all that leaves me with a bad impression of the site.

http://www.setsunakou.com has a whole bunch of YGO dolls now! It's so awesome. XD I wish they weren't so expensive, but maybe for custom-made dolls, they're actually a decent price. I wouldn't know, as I don't often go shopping for custom-made dolls. ^^; They have some strange pairings, including BakuraXRebecca and the dreaded SetoXSerenity, but I just try to ignore them and concentrate on how awesome the dolls look. ^^ Hey, they even have a doll of Rishid! They have most of the main characters right now, except for Yami B, Yami M, Solomon, Cecelia, and some more of the anime-only characters (Doom bikers, Dartz, and the von Schroiders). And they've made Marik, Tristan, Miho, Yugi, Vivian, Mokuba, and Pegasus dolls, but the links aren't up for them yet. ^^; But go see the ones they do have! Pretty much whoever I didn't mention here they have working links for.

I wrote a bit more for my story with Seras and Schrodinger (whoops, started typing Schroider there), and had Alucard come and talk to Seras. Now I must figure out how to resolve a plot problem that I've been musing over for several weeks. How on earth am I going to get Schrodinger into the Hellsing Institute? XD; Alucard and Integral aren't going to want him in there, and Seras won't want to go against them, but she also doesn't want to just leave Schrodinger bleeding on the battlefield. ^^;

Oh yeah, and thanks to a lady I saw at church, I now know how to draw Alister with realistic hair! LOL. Since Side7's not working right now, I'll put it here: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v212/Marik4Me/alister_realistichair.jpg Now I need to figure out how to do the same with Valon. I want to keep the star-shaped formation while giving it a more real look. Is that even possible? XD;

EDIT: I need to figure out where SchroiderCorp is located. What's a large German city that has mountainous areas nearby? I doubt Siegfried would want to travel too far to get to the company building.

And I have Eyes on repeat. It really reminds me of him, for some reason. XD; Maybe because he and Leonhard appear in the final ending sequence, when they're playing Eyes in the background? I was surprised when I read the translation and found that it only added to me associating it with him, after the events of the Grand Prix.
